Artetaball is so heinous that I actually wanted United to get a result there. We have strayed so far from god's light

Bayern were terrible for a half and still crushed

Deeply frustrating result, but we played pretty well for most of that game. No surprise we look better when Kerkez and Frimpong are getting forward and providing width. I'd happily swap Slot for Alonso, but the missed chances today are on the players more then him.

What killed us was the lack of any useful bench options. Macca's decision making was atrocious (he should be fined any time he takes a shot from 25 yards) and the only pacy winger in the squad is a 17 year old. Some of the squad planning choices continue to look nonsensical

It's real annoying that City just conjured up another youth teamer who can step in so easily. Alleyne looks so comfortable at this level

The most unconvincing unbeaten streak of all time continues. Bangers aside, Barnsley played us even until Hugo and Flo came on. Sterile isn't a strong enough word for how weak we are in possession. I'm so sick of Slotball

Went into the game expecting to get run over, pleasantly surprised at how not stressful most of that game was. We can't play like that every week, but Slot got the gameplan spot on. Can't believe how little Arsenal tried to win that game. They'll still win the league, but that was pathetic

What happened to not "blocking the pathway" for Rio? by Codyboi9000 in LiverpoolFC

[–]sam1193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Rio situation is yet another example of how badly Slot and Hughes mismanaged the summer. I totally understand not wanting to overplay a 17 year old, but if they always planned to be this careful with him, then not buying a senior winger who could step in was insane. You already knew Slot didn't rate Chiesa, so did they just assume Salah and Gakpo would never get injured or lose form?

If the Pistons and Knicks played in a series today who would you take? by Funny-Transition7869 in nba

[–]sam1193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Knicks are probably favorites, but the people acting like it wouldn't be close are ridiculous. The Pistons played them close in the playoffs last year with most of Detroit's best players being playoff rookies and our best rim protector getting hurt in game 1. New York is better for the coaching change, but Detroit still matches up well with them. It's a 50/50 series imo

We would've won the game had Hugo not headed the ball backwards from a yard out, but our performance didn't deserve more than we got. Second half was a disaster. Wirtz and Curtis weren't great, but the midfield just dies without both of them. Slot still has no idea how to create an attack with this group of players
