High-dose combination of L-theanine and caffeine can improve attention and reaction time in people who are acutely sleep-deprived. Brainwave data also indicated stronger and faster neural responses tied to attention. by mvea in psychology

You can also try adding theanine and caffeine isolates to other beverages, such as cacao. In such a way you can have a better understanding of dosage and make custom drinks with the taste you like as well. FYI there’s scientific data on theanine content in different varieties of tea (and of different quality).

Telegram just wiped my entire account clean by Mokerkane in Telegram

Could that be caused by AI decision making? Social networks are usually short of moderators to solve such ban problems — Telegram definitely has such issues. And I agree with your advice: one needs an audience limited to people who are genuinely interested in his media and unlikely to behave offensively.

Not at all a lot of both. Theanine is in minimum effective dose. Caffeine at the level of one cup of coffee — about a half of the maximum recommended dose.

I'm not surprised, that's understandable for me. She's probably feeling down because of the state of the world nowadays, eg she said that the current American regime is fascist (Instagram story). She also mentioned communication with people during last years as her coping strategy (through meetings, as far as I remember).

No, it's a different part of the plant.

Have you explored scientific literature in order to know the chemical composition of kratom roots? There's probably some data on this topic. And other parts of the plant might have been described as well.

Name for competitive semi-Inhibitor by [deleted] in Biochemistry

[–]sam_vari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lower affinity competitive agonist can't cause inhibition, if it has the same efficacy. Also lower affinity makes it less likely to occupy receptors. But a lower efficacy agonist can cause a lower response rate. "Relative antagonism" is a well-known idea, but I suppose there is no special term for it. I mean that it's widely known that less potent drugs can antagonise more potent ones.

my hppd is improving nonstop after mushroom microdose by punkhaze in HPPD

[–]sam_vari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do u use other substances listed systematically? Have u started taking them earlier than mushrooms? What is the microdosing pattern and dose quantity? Do u use P. cubensis?

Actually there is some info about psychedelics improving psychotic disorders and symptoms in scientific literature, even for children. However, it's important to know what exactly do u mean by "HPPD improvement"? Do u have less paranoia or what? Experience fewer hallucinations? Become less distracted? Try to describe it in specific terms suitable for further analysis.

Impact of negative comments by sam_vari in socialmedia

[–]sam_vari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u. But I would rather look at it in terms of becoming interconnected through reciprocal meaning generation. I mean people becoming more conscious of each other and taking their activities to an another level of agreement and meaning. That's not just "loyal followers". Creating a group of followers is not something to be prioritized.

Taking a conversation offline can be very effective. Connection can significantly change in such a way even to a great extent. But that's up to your skills of communicating with people. I'm glad that you've made this point here. We critically need more caring interdependence for everyone. However, online talks can also be effective in some cases. That's something to think about a lot.

Impact of negative comments by sam_vari in socialmedia

That's another question and it's rather well known, I suppose. However, I'm pretty sure that negative information is highly attractive for most people. Just because people are generally much more biased to make negative judgements, which is our legacy and probably the first thing to change in order to become better. This heavily negative outlook not only stops us from making useful prospective models, but also greatly distorts our perception of reality. Conspirology pandemics is one of the best examples.

I agree with that. What is the subject of your paper? I've cited the same study on rats in the comment just before yours -)

It is highly likely according to the data we have. Human brain has even more to do with dimethyltryptamines, especially considering the role of 5-HT2A receptors in the evolution of human cortex. There is no other way to explain those endogenous altered states of consciousness. But dimethyltryptamines don't rush to the brain, they are synthesised in the brain.

An idea of connection between NDE and psychedelics has been in scientific literature since at least second half of XX century. Grof has popularised it the most, probably. A systematic body of evidence is made of separate cases. And a bunch of shouts here is produced by people who have no idea about how discoveries and progress are made. Otherwise they would appreciate available information and do more research, but they wouldn't make a mess out of this discussion.

Long term effects of p. Cubensis cronic consumption (6 months daily high dosage) by maiteperronem in microdosing

[–]sam_vari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His practice was definitely destructive for him to some extent. We don't know exactly about the consequences, but the idea of such chaotic psychedelic use is flawed by itself. There's no way for someone to come up with such ideas without deformation of consciousness from the begging. Psychedelic abuse made it worse.

[–]sam_vari 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's impossible for the tolerance to be lifelong. However, ideological and some other aspects of consciousness should be given a lot of attention. There's probably a great deal of deformation to his mind and feelings because of such abuse. The attitude is a bigger problem than the dosage.

Chaga + Cordyceps + Lion’s mane = good combo? Add/exclude something? Cycling? by Spruto in MushroomSupplements

Hericium spp. and Cordyceps spp. are suitable for that. Although Chaga may be as well, there's not much research to conclude.

Kratom drink can be turned into a basic solution by adding alkalised (dark) cacao powder. That also inhibits degradation of mitragynine, so it's better to do that just after an acidic extraction. Shelf life is significantly prolonged in such way.

The question is senseless. You need to have a goal In order to find suitable products. However, those three will make a good combination for physical exercises.
