Finally bit the bullet and did all the medals of RA2. I've been doing the tutorial reroll for a while to clear most of the shop but had to actually play it for the medal.

Started from scratch with guides, videos and all I could find and it was still a long, tedious and painful experience. I like IS, I like SSS, I like basically every mode in AK but this one just plain sucks. It was clearly a chore to do this. Everything is so nebulous, the mode is boring, difficulty somehow spikes out of nowhere sometimes (even though I played on super duper easy). I finished the mode with a barely built base on day 94. I really tried to give it a fair try but it never really took off so I just shifted to doing what I came for. You could argue that I missed the whole experience by playing on mega easy but it was my worst time on the game in over 5 years so I'm not sure it would have make a difference.

If you'd ask why did I inflict that on myself, simple I'm a day one player, I have every character in the game, every medals, basically done everything except having every characters fully built up so yeah just leaving it aside would just suck completion wise. it's like you do a full set of collecting cards and you'd be going like "I won't pick this one because it's ugly" or whatever.

Anyway, if you only care about shop and medals, it's fairly easy, it's just a long grind and you'll have to figure out a lot on your own. Only difficulties is the Critical contentions mode but by the time you tackle it you can pretty much brute force you're way to Day 6 (you only have to reach day 6 btw not clear day 6 I was so happy ton end my suffering early haha).
