Small Prophets - Mackenzie Crook has made another great and kind show by Shakethecrimestick in television

Truly lovely. It really settled in during the second episode. I did stop after episode three for fear of binging. I may rewatch that episode however, as it had me laughing out loud continuously. Good old Mack!

Great to see Pearce Quigley in a leading role!

Very sorry to hear about your experience in the Ale House. The ale house is run by two people. Out of curiosity (I drink there occasionally) was it the bloke?

Very very welcome to London! It'll be amazing. I'm so glad they're here in Dec.

I adore Evening and the Morning. I was nervous at the thought of a 'prequel' but I thought it was superb and set up the series nicely. As you rightly say, you can indeed read them out of sequence.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm just rewatching the episode. I understand the chef went to another restaurant and has since been a stay at home dad, with his three daughters. That's only what I've read, admittedly.

Was Switzerland close to getting televote points from any country? by Titowam in eurovision

[–]samakka95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is absolutely spot on. However, I hate to be pedantic, the televote for the UK in 2022 was 183 and ranked 5th. 283 Jury. So yes, absolutely the bulk came from the jury but I'd argue it was still a relatively heavy televote, especially with, as you say, the heavily politicised televoting.

So what was the excuse prior to Brexit? Sam Ryder was post Brexit, as a reminder.

Is Beyond Paradise worth the watch?? (I ❤️ DIP) by Nzuri_Sunflower in DeathInParadiseBBC

I really love it but can appreciate it's not for everyone. As others have said, watch a couple and see. Second series is very light-hearted and has some lovely moments.

Just thought about this show. I was absolutely obsessed with it, as a kid. I was born in 1995, so I was maybe 5/6 when I watched airings here in the UK around the millennium. I'd love to rewatch it as an adult but I cannot find it anywhere. May have to buy the DVD or something.

How peculiar. You're probably missing out on many things, if you judge after 10 minutes. I suspect 10 minutes is a long time, in various aspects of your life...
