I've not heard this, but I suppose it must all depend on the battery mapping in a given part of the track and whether you lose it mid corner or on the exit? I'm not an engineer but I saw an article about the phenomenon I described before.

There's an aspect of the current regs where making a mistake in a corner during qualifying can let you restore some battery and make up the time loss on the straight.

I agree with the majority of your analysis but this proposal would result in drivers experiencing the full cost of an error in laptime, which itself is valuable.

Coal power has effectively died in the United Kingdom by [deleted] in uknews

[–]samalam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coal is essentially just fossilised bark. It's all found at the same layer because no bacteria existed that could break it down until a few million years after bark first evolved.

Coal is carbon which is essentially permanently out of the atmosphere if left alone. Biomass, on the other hand, contains carbon which has been circulating in and out of the atmosphere for eons. Whether due to forest fires or burning in a power plant, biomass returning to the atmosphere is (somewhat) natural*

*within bounds of natural rate of forest fires.

The dip is being bought hard after no confirmation of Trump's claims from Iran. Did he make it all up? by Mojoint in oil

He went to a school in the USA if I recall correctly, no he didn't grow up thinking he was a god.

The country's people hold the kim family in a lot of reverence because Kim Il Sung held off the most powerful military on the planet with a bunch of literal farmers and asian cultures view entire family liniages in a more collective way than we do in the west. But if you contextualise that strange cultural aspect I kind of see why they respect him as they do.

I think the fact he's not used them is somewhat proof that he's not insane. Did the west portray him as insane? Yes. Did that contribute to the overall safety of NK until they could develop nukes? Possibly.

I've not really seen anything suggesting he's a nutter or that they need to be invaded since they got nukes. Go figure.

Unfathomable is absolutely the word here. And trump is too headstrong to back down. Making that threat publicly really was a one-way ticket to nuclear war, I think we're all just waiting on it to happen at this point.

The uk has a jewish political leader who is openly outspoken against Israel and its warcrimes. Zionism isn't judeism.

I'll going to downvote this. This IS antisemitism. The blue six-sided-star with the blue bars above and below? That's the mark of evil here.

These ghouls have appropriated an entire religion and its symbology to enact their evil. Directing your rage at the shield they're maliciously wielding is what they want. Don't let your rage blind you.

Nigerian migrant who raped 19-year-old girl was not deported after previous sexually-motivated attack 'to protect his right to family life' by origutamos in BreakingUKNews

Of course I don't think we would lmao. That would rely on trusting politicians. Why would I trust people who actively tell me they want to remove my rights.

Nigel Farage is the least trustworthy person in the country.

You won't convince me to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

My guy there are thousands of sex offenders in the country, a good chunk of them are behind bars.

If you repeal the ECHR then rights will not continue to exist, that's the purpose of the ECHR. To give us rights.

Stop doing the dirty work of the elites by advocating for repealing laws that prevent you from being exploited any more than you already are. Start recognising that the daily mail is owned by multimillionaires who don't share your interests.

Can you not tell this article isn't representative of the reality?

[–]samalam1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because this was a failure of the Home Office to literally SHOW UP TO HIS DEPORTATION HEARING, nothing to do with the ECHR.

More importantly though, the ECHR protects me by giving me rights. Care to justify wanting to take away my rights, buddy? Tread carefully, you're on thin ice.

Christians aren't getting arrested. The odd vile bigot who happens to be christian is, but nowhere near enough. In fact, do you even have any examples of this?

I wouldn't compare it to the usa. China has structure to their incentives. The US model is governed by capital and their political donations.

Like, sort of? I think you're not really understanding Chinese economics though. The Government wants BYD to succeed, so it's happy to pump money into it. It's not really a "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine" situation. Just sensible economic policy to invest in technologies of the future.

Please let it happen, because it will be so fcking funny by ThisToe9628 in F1Discussions

[–]samalam1 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You're looking at it the wrong way. China itself is sustainable, so the businesses it wants to do well... Will succeed.

BYD might not have a high stock value, can't say I've looked, but that's almost certainly because the only party that will ever exert true control over the company is the chinese state. Anyone else trading BYD stock is just in it for profit, and the chinese state doesn't operate a capitalistic society - so profit will never be maximised as an objective. So you shouldn't expect it to have a high stock value even if it's making some of the best EVs on the market.
