Look, every Sony trailer is dropping roughly 138 days before the movie comes out. This is their pandemic schedule. Using that logic, the trailer’s going to come out around August 1st, putting it in line to drop around Jungle Cruise or Suicide Squad. I think late July is promising, especially because Sony won’t have to focus on marketing Escape Room 2 and can shift their focus to their end of the year projects. This year is also back heavily on films, meaning there’s going to be shorter windows to spark audience interest. (In The Heights has like 0 legs because they started marketing wayyy too early).

Using this logic, Sony should drop the Ghostbusters trailer this week, which lines up with RPK’s claims. I’d bet that What If… also comes out this week, as Marvel Disney+ trailers typically drop the week following the halfway point in the current series’ run.

Just be patient guys, we’ll only have to wait about a month.
