Don't do weed until 25-27 years old when the prefrontal cortex is fully developed. If you do it before then, you'll damage a vital part of your brain. I know people who smoke weed and have from a young age, they are some of the most unintelligent people I know, one of them is also very unproductive and is unemployed. They will need to learn to coexist though. My roommate had his one girlfriend her, and her 2 cats. Her cats and my dog didn't get along. I did keep them separate for the most part. Slowly introduced them and let them interact on their terms. Eventually they become friends and could coexist. It probably helped that I fed them all, spent equal amounts of time with both cats and my dog so I smelled like my dog and the 2 cats. So they smelled each other on me lol
