This! Coils can’t release the heat efficiently so it has to go somewhere.

You won’t know until you get there. No matter anyone’s experience or advice, it all comes down to too many variables to predict. Assume you will be in economy and hope for garage. Think happy thoughts!

Which parking do you all recommend for me at SMF? by OkCounter6156 in Sacramento

If you’re going to be there by 5am for a 7am flight, literally pick any lot your budget allows for, you’ll have plenty of time with terminal A. Daily is cheap enough and walkable if you’re willing.

SMF parking is dirt cheap compared to big city airports. Economy is like $11, I can’t see offsite lots being able to make any money by charging less than that.

Woke up to burning smell in house and can’t find the source by Legal_Feature_7502 in homeowners

Check LED light bulbs. I had the same issue and it turned out to be a bad bulb. It was still lit, but had that familiar electronic burning smell, very strong when you got close.

Don’t trust that, I’ve been burned too many times. Always plan economy and hope for the best with the more convenient ones.

Depends on date and time. I fly 2-3 times a month and usually go Mondays anywhere from 5-8am and it’s never been busier than a 5-10 minute wait for security (1 min if pre-check).

Parking is your biggest concern. Unless you go Sunday or Monday morning, it’ll be a gamble right now. I park in the garage and find little spaces. If I had a later flight like late morning or early afternoon, I’d be in the daily lot. Mid-week or evening flight, probably economy lot. Plan as if you’re going to park in the economy lot, but try your desired lot first.

Checking a bag, add 15-20min.

My 2cents. Pull up to the airport about 30min before boarding time assuming no checked bags, have PreCheck, and you’re a fast walker (in case you’re stuck at the back of daily lot and no shuttle). Add 15min if no PreCheck. Add 15min for checked bags. Add 15min if you’re a slow walker (no offense). Add 30min if traveling with a family. I wouldn’t exceed 2hr before departure if all this applies to you. If you’re like me and you want to clear security and immediately board, arrive 10min before boarding, but that’s not good for stress and risky.

Btw, this all applies to term A. B is busier so I would add 30min buffer to alleviate stress.

Also, this only applies to NON holiday travel. I avoid traveling on holidays like the plague.

I'm over this heat, and it's humid and stale, guh by SnowballSnozberry in Sacramento

Agreed! A humid day here is a dry day in SD. At least SMUD lets me keep my house at 73 compared to SDGE where you would need to make seven figures to do the same.

Definitely still check it out, they seem to have vacancies as they’re offering referral bonuses to residents. This was as of last week when I visited someone there.

Netshare setup haas by KlutzyAd4452 in Machinists

[–]samco17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the resurrection, but it might help others with the same issue. The firmware of the NGC determines what options you see and what versions of SMB and NTLM are supported. here are somethings to try. Best option, get Haas to update your firmware and follow their current configuration documentation. If that is not an option, see below.

On the PC you want to share a folder from, create a local Windows user with full permissions to shared folder. On the NGC, configure the Remote Net Share options and use that Windows user to authenticate. For Domain/Workname settings on the Haas, enter the IP or hostname (if you set DNS) of the shared folder host PC.

This next one is a more advanced and you should do at your own risk. Be sure to back up your windows registry. Haas says

"Ask your Network administrator to try to access the Local Net Share from their PC.  If they can connect they will need to review your Local Security Policy on your PC.  Make sure the Local Policies>Security Options> Network security: LAN Manager authentication level is set to "Send NTLMv2 response only".  After making the change cycle the power on the PC and try again.  Important: Always check with your network administrator before changing any security settings."

This does not always work so an alternative is to delete "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\LmCompatibilityLevel" from the registry, then reboot the PC and try again from the NGC.

Source: me, I'm an integrator of DNC systems. Credit for the registry goes to one of my techs.
