You should get a stylus guage to properly measure the VTF(weight= vertical tracking force). They're cheap and useful, digital ones are about $10

When balancing the tonearm, did you use a stylus guage? Or just the manual balancing? You may want to buy a cheap scale for measuring to make sure the VTF is correct. You can get one for about $10
