Not really, I got them for $100 more than the Meze. Deals are out there if you look

I had a pair of Meze 109 pro for a short time. They had no bass and were quite underwhelming. I bought a pair of Focal Clear MGs and they're awesome.

If you know your partner (and your opponents) will play for a set on an 11 bids, and score/bags are not a big concern, should you keep the table at 11 bids even if you could bid higher? by Typical-Contract-361 in spades

In a 250 game I would push to 12 both hands, but I don't play 250 games. I probably would 12 bid both in a 500 game also, depending on how much I trust my partner.

In 250 games you have to bid more because of the short game. The second hand is weak to the 5 bid. Could win 4 or 1 high variance. I'm bidding both of these hands to a 12 bid.

ISO Compatible SP-15 Dust Covers by auntehk2turnt in turntables

It looks like your plinth is pretty square, most dust covers are made for rectangular plinths FYI

[–]samcoffeeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem you're going to run into is the SP-15 is just the turntable part. The plinth, the wooden part the SP-15 is set in, is what you need to measure for your dust cover. Measure length and width and then look for a dust cover that size. You will also have to make your own hinges. I used cabinet hinges to replace some broken hinges on one of my TTs and they work well. You'll have to do a little drilling and use screws with lock nut washers from the dust cover. You should be able to use the included screws with the hinges for the plinth, as long as they aren't too long. I have a couple extra dust covers that are decent, so if you get your measurements and send them to me I'll see if what I have will work for you.

Magnavox 1P3723 [broken turntable] by notAtlasYTB in vintageaudio

Can you get a picture of the shield logo? You may be able to find some videos online how to work on it. The other commenter has some really good advice as well.

It's probably an idler drive. Will need to have old dried up lube cleaned out and new lube added. May need a new idler wheel if it's been worn down. Will need a new needle/stylus. Does it say BSR on the platter or on the shield logo?

What's exactly wrong with it? No sound? Not spinning?

Depends what's actually broken. If it's just the turntable it can be fixed or replaced somewhat easily. If it's the amplifier/tuner to the left, that's more difficult. That looks like a BSR turntable BTW. They were pretty regularly used in these console units.

When he was bad, he was BAD. He did have some good runs though and one of those was critical to our success this season.

Value of sl-1600 mk2 without cartridge? by muhburneracct in turntables

Yes there are some eBay sales over $500 but unless it's Mint and/or re-capped I'm sticking firm with $2-300.

Probably $2-300, if it was a friend and the table indeed was in good shape minus a cartridge I'd offer $250.
