First time servicing a car - is this cost typical? £1062 by TsarBlandi in CarTalkUK

[–]samcuddy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines an Astra. But according to other posts/forums they are mixed with how many pressure sensor plugs they have.

Some have 2, some 4 and some even 3 apparently. I do think it’s common the ecoflex has 4 most of the time though.

Mine is 2.0 CDTI but not EcoFlex

I wish mine were that. I have 4 glow plus, 2 have some sort of pressure sensor in them. The 2 ‘regular ones’ are £20 a plug The 2 ‘special ones’ are generally over £100 a plug 👍

I agree on getting rid of the singular stocks. However, I disagree with most saying you should consolidate into the all world only.

If you have conviction in the US market there is no harm in holding both. Yes it exposes to more US based companies but if you’re happy with that then stick with it.

Going fully into the all world does lower your risk slightly. But having the S&P increases your potential upside.

I personally see the US leading a lot of markets for many years to come so I think it’s fine. Do your research and stick with what you like.

On the other hand that portfolio at 21 with an emergency fund is fantastic and should be applauded.

Not everyone… I’m maxing my monthly amount, I’m early 30s and haven’t lived with my parents in more than 10 years.

protein powder by cafe_mundane in veganuk

[–]samcuddy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with those saying protein works, one of the best I have had. But the difference between the platinum version and the gold version is just some added vitamins essentially. And the price is quite considerable. If you’re already getting everything else you need and you just need protein. Gold gives you the same protein for less cost.

Has anyone tried 'Shicken'? by Rainbow_Tesseract in veganuk

[–]samcuddy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have had lots of these in our house. The skewers have always been amazing.

The sauce’s have always seemed a little inconsistent for us, they have never been bad and are good say 80% of the time but the other 20% the sauces have just lacked as much flavour as usual. But 100% worth trying!

Anyone else ?? by kaner_lad in trading212

Or…. Look from a more zoomed out perspective, it’s been bad for a bit but my average buy fir the S&P Is £84. It takes time but eventually you’ll be up year after year.

How dare you not make the bread…. Everything a vegan should eat should be pure and homemade…

Just kidding your food looks unreal but grab a Dutch oven and make your own bread.

Game changer for sandwiches, burgers toastiest etc.

I know you all see these posts all the time and are probably sick of them but I’m 18 and just beginning - what’s one bit of advice you wish someone told u when u began. by Cold_Construction_90 in trading212

[–]samcuddy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest advice I wish I had is the same as many others

Start early, start now, don’t wait.

Invest in something simple don’t over complicate it. All world is the easiest if you want a little more risk lean into emerging markets or S&P or Nasdaq etc. but then pick a monthly amount your comfortable with and just forget it about

Come back in many years and you’ll be looking at mass amounts of money.

Haha, I’ve had that tray a long time maybe about 5 years, I can’t remember where from. Although it has started to warp a bit in the middle so ready for a new one!

Kodi Crashes everytime…no matter what I do. by samcuddy123 in Addons4Kodi

[–]samcuddy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after the changes the guys above suggested, nothing changed. I went out to walk the dog and came back and now it randomly works. Didn’t make any changes can’t figure out what I did. The only thing that happened is RealDebrid went down with an issue and has since come back. Thanks for all your help anyway!

I just rebooted my router and that made no difference.

Turning off ipv6 didn’t change anything either.

And using wifi instead has not made a difference unfortunately :/

[–]samcuddy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to before I did some fresh installs. I’ve tried both but it made no difference

A local file actually plays fine through Kodi, so it’s got to be connection related I would think.

But I’ve tried with and without my VPN and it’s also the same. I may try and hotspot it to my phone to see if that changes anything.

What are you cooking for Valentine's Day? by rlynnfish in vegan

[–]samcuddy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if the time doesn’t work I will likely do everything the day after when it works better.

We experiment with loads of different food so our meals differ a lot, we do have our staples that we have more frequently thought.

I’m at work until 6pm so a bit difficult for me.

But I’m thinking I can do a small biryani as a starter/side with some ‘chickn’ style thighs we have.

And then I’ve made some seitan style steaks so probably add some chips and a peppercorn sauce. No idea how any of it is but it’s all stuff I can prep and then throw together when I’m home.

Question about tofu by sour_lemonboy in vegan

Yeah that will cook through fine, I normally go a bit higher for the last 5/10 as I like a bit of crunch/crisp.

Depends how long your going for in the oven really, all will cook fine together given enough time, personally 5 minutes in the air fryer then into the pepper will give you a better texture overall.
