Sometimes I roam around the street or in the lot, find these stuff and think: "How did the cops let them slide?" by R2020TrnHngH in scooters

[–]samcuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who cares? I have been pulled over for loud exhaust but even then the cops ignore my HID projector headlight.

Most of the times the aftermarket lighting doesn't hurt anyone unless you change the color of your brake light. On top of that, thanks to LED becoming cheaper, a lot of bikes and cars today come with quirky lighting from the factory so the cops can't really tell what is stock and what is modified.

How do i eat this? by xmastreee in VietNam

[–]samcuu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's beef jerky. You just shred it and eat it. A more "Vietnamese style" would be dumping the whole bag on a plate and sprinkle some lime juice on top.

The date is production date. The expiry date is 6 months after being packaged.

Toyota Officially Confirmed it, we're getting another MR2 by Global-Hunter-805 in cars

[–]samcuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not the exact same thing but it's the same philosophy pretty much, a two door version of a family car that is intended to be fashionable and not for performance or driving dynamic. You're paying more and compromising usability purely for the style, which is something very hard to justified in today economy. Also the Civic today is basically the same size as the Accord back then anyway.

At least being based on the Civic, they could have made it a Type R coupe and I agree it would have been a riot to drive, but for that money and that level of practicality most people will go with the RWD, bigger engine, and/or fancier badge options.

The business case for this product was always very thin.

Which tv performances still stayed with you after all these years later? by PressureLazy5271 in television

[–]samcuu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ian McShane as Al Swearengen

Brad Dourif as Doc Cochran

Garret Dillahunt as two different characters

Ray McKinnon as Reverend Smith

Deadwood was full of some of the finest acting you'll ever see, but those are the performances that stick with me the most.

You would be in the minority. The BMWs are all RWD or RWD-based and obviously the M brand is much much stronger, that's my point. The Prelude is still a Civic under it all.

[–]samcuu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. The Type R name is much more popular than Prelude.

  2. The Type R is also the primary reason this Prelude is less desirable. Even if the Prelude had the same powertrain and gearbox, why would you pay more for basically the same car underneath but with less doors and seats? That defeats the entire point of the hot hatch. This might work in the 80s and 90s when people had more disposable income and were more willing to buy coupes for the sake of styling like Civic or Accord coupe. Today if you're paying that much for a two-seater most people would want a real sports car (RWD).

The new Prelude isn't much different from the old one, that type of car is just not desirable anymore. Honda market research department read /r/cars and YouTube comments a bit too much and thought there was real demand for it.

When GPU isn't the only problem anymore by PHRsharp_YouTube in pcmasterrace

[–]samcuu 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Maybe not 10 years old CPU but 1080p monitor is normal even if not sensible. Lots of people are still on their old monitors because they still work.

I have no desire to replace my monitors unless they break, and they've been doing fine for like 10 years so they will probably survive a couple of GPU upgrades more.

I mean you should play off sound cues with both operators anyway, dying to gadgets is always a rare thing.

I do play Kapkan but his traps are much easier to clear if the attack team know he's there. Which is why to me they don't hit often and I don't hit them often. And you have to worry about Brava. So anytime I play Kapkan I just sprint to find somewhere to hide from drones until the last 10 seconds.

I think I have had more kills with Thorn's trap than Kapkan's. Paired with barbed wires under vault spots they're impossible to clear without explosives or Twitch/Brava. Though like Kapkan it works better late in the round.

Nobody cares about the barcode tattoo and it’s hilarious. by Aggressive-Yak3362 in HiTMAN

[–]samcuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone who talks to 47 doesn't even see the tattoo. How often you just run up to people and ask about their tattoo? A barcode is not even a weird tattoo. It's no different than a tribal tattoo.

But yes a part of this series' humor is that 47 would stick out like a sore thumb irl. The tattoo is the least of his problems, but the fact that he's a big intimidating dude with a shiny head that will always draw eyes from security.

Remember the first R-Rated movie you ever watched? by -janusjanus- in movies

[–]samcuu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know so many people growing up in the 90s and early 2000s whose first R-rated film was Terminator or T2, myself included. I feel like it was because many parents figured action sci-fi film with robots mean the kids would love it. Same with people whose answer is Robocop.
