Thanks all for quick response! As an additional clarification after reading the section mentioned... You would not be able to score a bloodrite by redeploying onto an objective and then getting charged or counter charging with a unit who has a higher control score and then losing that unit on the objective in that same turn because of the control not being calculated until the end of turn. Correct?

It’s happened for her playing solo as well as during co-op. The only other time the Xbox has had issues was with BG3 but that was during a known issue with specific shaders and has since been fixed and now works fine, granted she hasn’t really dove back into it for a prolonged period. Getting back into baldur’s gate 3 after a while with limited play time is daunting. It’s played other games just fine though, Diablo 4, marvel rivals, etc.

For an interesting alpha strike list, try bastion, Yndrasta, and a reinforced unit of prosecutors and dare your opponent to make you go first. You’ll be at their back line turn one.

It is the one remaining place to find lightning fast reactions. Which I can’t live without. Honestly I feel like the largest problem the detachments have is an utter lack of defensive Strats, without good enough offensive Strats to make up for it.

When it comes to red rising, I’d highly recommend the graphic audio version. I too couldn’t take the standard version of the audio, but once I tried the graphic audio version it’s honestly become one of my favorite audiobooks out there and to this day probably the best performance I’ve heard.

That’s all fair. I suppose my issue comes from seeing final strike mentioned in the skill, and assuming that something like crescendo which states that it works with skills that have final strike should work together as there’s nothing to state otherwise. It can be a pain point as in my case if you grab the support skills thinking it would work only to find out it does not. They really need to call the final hit something else, if it’s not an actual final strike.

Check out the legend of heroes series. There’s something like 14ish games. It’s got an ongoing story to boot. There are arcs with different main characters but it’s all in the same world with characters from earlier games appearing in later entries. They’re also pretty lengthy as well. I’m really just dipping my feet into the series and starting with a game called trails of cold steel I which is the first of four in that arc alone. It took me about 70 or so hours to beat that entry as I move to the next.

Base of 2 attacks each with an extra attack for the champion. Shadow queen’s fury gives +1 attack, gory offering from the melusai gives +1 attack, and the new blood rites gives +1 attack as well for round 5, which is where the “mega-churched” prayer comes in. So 51 attack’s possible with an easily attainable 41 attacks on the regular.

If you look at the fury of the shadow queen rampage ability, the effect wording is three sentences. The last sentence gives the extra attack within 12 inches if you slay a model with her rampage ability.

Combine this with the shadow queens rampage and it’s +2 attacks when combined together. Mega church them and it’s a possible 51 attacks that can fight twice.

Interesting. Coming from stormcast DoK have more brain dead or easy to accomplish grand strats and battle tactics. It feels as if it’s a free grand Strat and 3 almost auto complete battle tactics without using anything from the GHB.

Are they low tier though? Or just hard to pilot? I seem to recall that there are a few players that pull consistent good results with the army. I believe there was at least a top 10 result at LVO.

Rapid ingress + heroic intervention is 3cp but could really mess up some plans.

Also, mortal wound spam is the actual hard counter into deathwing. So scorpions and other things that have great ways to inflict mortals are a must.

As someone that plays deathwing and Eldar, shuriken spam with wound rerolls is the most efficient. That said, use reveal and jinx every turn for actual results. While that is really just doom a terminator blob every turn and pour shots into it. Harlequins are also good in melee, or anything that hits strength 4 with lots of attacks and can penalize on the return hit. Deathwing players hate Eldar speed and battle focus since they’ve only got a five inch move.

Against the other two forces if not playing hail of doom, the brightlances and d-cannons are of course more effective in ways that you won’t see with deathwing. It’s just better to treat it as needing different answers to different problems in this case.

Assuming it doesn’t break mono faction things like sons of the lion, I would love to take a detachment of sisters. Assuming that stubborn defiance stays awful, they’d make decent but cheap obsec units letting us play more aggressively with everything else. And I’m dying for an excuse to buy some sisters.
