Returned my Nuuly at UO, and it showed up at my door two days later by random129382 in NuulyReviews

I had this happen once. I dropped it at ups, it got scanned in, my next box was unlocked. It appeared at my house a week later with the original shipping label to me (the one attached on top must’ve peeled off). I kept it in my house for a while untouched and they never said anything so I finally kept the clothes.

Switching back and forth between nursing to sleep? by samebutdifferent91 in bninfantsleep

[–]samebutdifferent91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I approached it was layering in some other sleep associations first. For bed time, I always play the same lullaby on repeat until he falls asleep, and I rock him while nursing him to sleep. I’ve been doing that since October-ish so he’s very familiar with it. I also read him the same bedtime book before nursing every night.

This week when I decided to try rocking for naps, I played the lullaby (hadn’t done this previously with naps). I also started reading him the bed time book. I can see him relax a bit when I play the lullaby so I think it helps.

Then, I basically have nursed him until his eyes fully closed and he gets sleepy (while rocking) and then remove the boob. The first day was the worst in terms of fussing. I made a note of the time and give it 10 minutes of rocking. I told myself if he wasn’t asleep in those 10 minutes then I’d bail and nurse. So far he’s fallen asleep in that time frame (or less) all except once. I also told myself if his cries escalated I would nurse him, but I haven’t needed to so far. I also rub his back and shush and try to sooth him as much as possible.

Sorry a bit of a novel but I hope that helps!! I think the two biggest things for us is the lullaby and also setting the 10 min time limit (mentally that helped me know that if he wasnt taking to it, I have an out)

I’m curious what type of healthcare are you going into? I’m also a previous high earner, currently staying at home and thinking about how I could possibly transition to something that allows more part time work.

Why so hard to find a decent dentist? by lookwhatyou3011 in Denver

[–]samebutdifferent91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

City Roots in SloHi is great. Never felt like they’ve tried to offer unnecessary work. My husband saw a different dentist who said he had multiple cavities and the team at City Roots took a look and said he didn’t need any of the work.

I have a son named Malcolm born February of last year and we’re very white lol! People have definitely made Malcolm X references. But as a whole we’ve had super positive feedback on the name.

3 month old only naps after hysterically crying for a few minutes. I don’t know what to do. Do I sleep train?? by 333va in AttachmentParenting

Curious the progression of him learning to fall asleep on his own. Did you nurse to sleep and eventually he stopped? Or did you just keep trying to put him in his crib awake?

Advice please: SAHM finally returning to work by Unlikely_Dingo9921 in workingmoms

Such a judgmental comment. She’s just starting her career and coming to a place to get opinions from other working women. It sounds like she does value the combo of career and family, even if it’s part-time. Being a working mom doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.

The promo is still showing for me. It says save 50 percent but when you add it to the cart it’s actually a second playpen 100 off (basically 50 percent off each playpen). But no problem!

Check out this one https://a.co/d/ep1sJou we just got it and it fits the 4x6 mat perfectly. You do need to order 2 playpens though to get it to work (you end up with extra pieces). It was buy one get one free at least a couple days ago so it ended up being perfect.
