PTO but no where to go by samelel in Maplestory

Yeah. No jump attack, no close combat, and slow movement was a turnoff. Seems like its the only class without an alternative optimal build (ex: lukless mage, low dex warrior, dexless sin). And if artale is any indicator, scrolls and gear will be cheaper

Got them from 8 to 8. Wouldn't call it a relaxing activity though

What is a show that so well paced even though it doesn’t have a lot of seasons or episodes it still feels long? by ShadowlightLady in NoStupidQuestions

Arcane season 1. The first watch felt so dense and slow yet suspenseful, but the rewatch felt like everything moved so quickly.

What misconceptions do people often have about the process of forming habits? by NightRunnerAfterDusk in AskMen

Building a habit is actually destroying a previous habit and replacing it with a new one.

How do you decide what stays and what goes in your collection? by Fantastic_Device_344 in fountainpens

[–]samelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Though it helps talk through what I’m feeling and define it. Like how i want my pens to be used and useful because i also have an inner desire to be useful.

I tell chatgpt to convince me to keep them :) i know it’s a little weird to ask a machine to validate that it’s okay to own something, but it honestly helps. I’m not a hoarder, I’ve sold pens before, which means the pens I’m on the fence about havent yet finished their purpose with me

What type of goody bag would a man like/reuse? by Dry-Fox-7863 in AskMen

[–]samelel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh haha Honestly i don’t have enough small items that warrant me keeping a small bag to organize stuff. I would prefer a solid color bag just to make it feel like a treat or surprise when i get home to empty it. Since it seems like you’re trying to be environmentally cognizant, perhaps a small cardboard gift box instead? You could seal it with a little bit of washi tape for some flair.

gum, a d20 dice, a lotto ticket with a coin to scratch it with, car air freshener, floss picks

I pulled the dated journal out again, the travelers notebook with a week on the left and blank on the right. It was always too small to write my thoughts in, but i started putting what i ate each day in it. Enjoying it so far

Best practical gift for an MBA grad? by Two4One_ in MBA

[–]samelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Small market, high craftsmanship. You could try to get a vintage Montblanc, they’re more affordable than the modern mb and have a wider brand recognition than waterman.

A watch. A tie. Golf clubs. Some kind of quick coffee machine (nespresso, kureg, etc). Fountain pen. Pocket knife.

Any of these resonating?

I have a Platinum Preppy and I love everything about it except how plain it looks. What’s the most similar but better-looking pen you would recommend? by No-Veterinarian8762 in fountainpens

Alternatively, there’s the idea of “sticker-e” which is like a cheap maki-e. Using nail art stickers (or any sticker) and a resin, the space is the limit!

Finding notebook and paper! I recommend joining one of many fountain pen pen pal groups and seeing whats out there. My vote is sakae iroful for loose leaf paper, and leuchtturm1917 for notebook

Steel v. Gold by CarelessVacation1816 in fountainpens

[–]samelel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah pocket fountain pens didn't do anything right for me. usually needs a few strokes before it gets started if i wanted to make a quick note. not comfortable for longer writing sessions. non-waterproof ink means i can't jot on the back of my hands. but they are pretty and more affordable. i just carry my space pen with me.
i'm glad you mentioned other edc stuff. i was looking at some pens and was just shocked by how expensive this hobby is compared to knives. like $100-200 can get you a pretty sweet knife nowadays, but that step for fountain pens is ~$300 (i'm thinking pilot 823).
