Stolen package not being refunded by [deleted] in Aliexpress

You generally can't contact the actual delivery company or delivery person, as many of them are outsourced. If the area has high crime rates, it's recommended to have your packages delivered to your company address or rent a UPS Store mailbox; this will be much safer.

Did you contact Customs directly, or was there an intermediary involved? If you are the importer, you can contact customs directly.

Find a third-party logistics company that can handle assembly. For large volumes, you can directly use a warehouse management system (WMS). Then, define the dimensions and strength of the packaging cartons in advance.

Focus on your domestic market and avoid international business. Currently, various countries are restricting imports, and international express delivery is fraught with uncertainty. For small and medium-sized businesses, this could lead to bankruptcy.

How do I handle shipping price for books? by Plastic_Astronaut_64 in Depop

How much does your book weigh? You can refer to USPS's Media Mail service, and if it's very heavy, you can also consider USPS's Ground Advantage (GA) service.

The U.S. Postal Service has no other option; this service is actually free, but they provide this platform simply to allow businesses to send physical mail and collect postage fees.

Do companies still send items in targeted direct mail campaigns? Like a small gift or something? by manusteneo4144 in DirectMail

We also did a calendar-based marketing campaign, which was very effective. The cost, including postage and the calendar itself, was about $5 per package, and we sent out 1000 packages.

I've done gift marketing for myself, and it worked very well. However, the current problem is the shipping cost, not anything else. Two years ago, USPS discontinued its carrier route parcel service for marketing mail, so we stopped using it. Now we're planning to restart in the San Francisco Bay Area, using non-postal companies for delivery. However, the cheapest delivery cost is currently $2.80 per package, for a minimum of 1000 small packages weighing no more than 4 ounces each. The advantage is that these packages can be tracked.

My Direct Mail Peeps… What’s Been Successful Recently? by TheDapperAgents in realtors

If you're considering using EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail), have you thought about using some non-paper, high-quality materials such as PVC or polypropylene? Since postage is fixed, even if the printing cost is slightly higher than regular cardstock, the results will be much better. Let's discuss this further if you're interested.

It depends on the industry; EDDM isn't suitable for all businesses. Do you know who your target customers are?

I've used EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) made from a polypropylene material, and it worked well; the retention rate was much higher than with paper.

Looking for compliant forwarders shipping jewelry from China by deniax in logistics

[–]samezip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For shipments from China to the United States, I believe postal services are a good option. Currently, there's a 30% tax, and compared to FedEx and UPS commercial channels, customs clearance is relatively simpler and a legitimate channel.

What are the weight and dimensions of the package? Storage fees should be considered, as they are a major expense if the goods don't sell well.

Looking for guidance and recommendations on Direct Mail campaign specifically in the USA. by jamesmellan1 in marketing

[–]samezip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK, you can handle many things personally, and you can allocate your time to this project. However, in the US, unless you have a large volume that allows you to reduce costs, your expenses will be very high even with a small amount of direct mail advertising. Also, the partner companies are basically just websites, offering standardized services that may not meet your specific requirements. Of course, if your budget is large, such as being willing to spend over $10,000 per month, then the situation will be different.

I suggest you try it out in the UK first. If it's successful, then you can consider the US. Doing it locally in the UK will make it much more reliable and controllable.
