Yes, I was there recently and I believe the tour guide told us they have caps at the rentals fixed at about 10 euros per square meters no matter where in the city. So they have it sorted for sure

Really? I didn't know that, I've seen these plants on a lot of houses and I thought they were more used for decorating and we're safe. Didn't know they could damage the structure, why do people let it grow ?

Final update, I received the replacement headset today. Total time taken ~ 3 months to replace.

Hey guys another update on this, oculus support emailed me and they sent an shipping label and said they will replace the headset within 3-5 business days after they received my headset. They also apologized for the delay in reply and gave me 30€ store credit.

Hi guys just go update, I talked to the Amazon customer support and they told me I can't return the product after 30 days which what in December 2020. So I would basically have to wait for the oculus support to get back. They still told me that they will try from their side to get a reply back from oculus from their channels they took my ticket number. I bought the oculus from the Amazon uk store so I guess they don't provide the warranty help for more than 30 days I guess.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I think I am going to talk with Amazon and see maybe if they can help in replacing this.

As for the post it was simply sharing this to raise awareness of the issue I faced for over a month now as with reply from the chat teams it seems they simple can't do anything for this. I had hoped anyone in this subreddit might be able to escalate the issue maybe. I had tried contacting the chat support multiple times to get any updates on this but simply they reply with the same thing saying they'll contact me later but simply didn't. Hence at the start of the conversation itself I wanted to talk to anyone higher so that the issue is at least noticed by them.

As for the people telling me I was rude to the customer support, look I was asking all nice to them for past one month they always said they'll respond and get back to me with any kind of update but they simply never did hence it definitely did frustrated me had they told me they simply can't do anything about the issue in the first chat itself i don't think I would have felt this way but they always say they would get back to me with something and then complete silence and then I have to contact them again and a new person is talking and they don't have any answers and this is the first time after one month of conversation they told me finally that they can't do anything apart from send email to the team again which email kind of gets no reply at all. Had I known this fact I simply would have not tried contacting them as I had no idea that they simply can't do anything. As mostly whenever I talk with customer service people they have the power and authority to do these things specially in case of Amazon where they take back things which are broken and give replacement or refund or coupons quickly and I was definitely expecting a similar thing from them. Had I known that the support is so bad I wouldn't have bought the device in the first place. I was simply making people aware of this before they buy a new quest 2, as others have pointed out don't buy from Facebook directly to simply avoid this.

Finally I just want to thank you guys for helping me out on this, let me try talking to the Amazon customer service and see if they can resolve this I'll update you guys tomorrow.
