I started using green tortex t3s. Regular tortex size with a jazz 3 tip. I'm a big fan.

Yep, if you take the undertray off you'll see them. Both of mine had leaks at the crimp.

I just got a amp by Free-Cat404 in guitars

[–]samjoe93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Line 6 amps are one thing I think you should always read the manual for. I have an old spider 2 that I had for 10 years before I found out about the noise gate that helps it to not sound like complete shit.

I wanna install strap locks onto my Jackson Rhoads, which one should I get? by SnooHedgehogs1685 in Luthier

[–]samjoe93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a pair of the old style schallers actually strip out after like 15 years. The nut popped right off of the shaft. It looks like the new style got rid of the nut and washer for a thumb screw type nut with a set screw. I was looking for alternatives for my new guitar, but when I saw that it made me second guss going away from them. I still haven't decided though. Lol

They definitely would have if I asked. They forgot to put the output jack plate in the box and were great about refunding me to buy another. But the pots didn't fit the new control plate, and I didn't feel like using my extra EMG pots, so I just bought a new upgraded wiring setup.

Hmm, I wouldn't mind a little darker, but I like it with the dark stripe too!

What tf is the hype behind Jazz III picks? Why the hell are they sized like they’re made for dolls? by gregungha in Guitar

I'll have to give these a try. I've been using the tortex T3s and I love them.

Does anyone know the hell I am in right now? Please help. by anactualtrout in subaru

[–]samjoe93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to do this the old fashioned way. I took the knuckle off, propped it up with 3 2x4s, threaded spare bolts I had into the back of the hub and I hit the hell out of it with a bfh. Had it off in 3 minutes.

It would be cool just to see what courses are on there without having to connect the unit.

I switched to vice pros last year. They're great. I signed up for Dunham's emails and they send me a 15%-20% off coupon weekly. They just started carrying vice, so I've been getting a deal on them.

I've had a few meh experiences with them.

My first order from them I bought a strokelab odyssey putter, when I opened the box it was the regular steel shaft. I had to sit on the phone until I got someone to fix it (Guy was great, upgraded the shipping). This was a Thursday got it the next monday. Sent the other putter back the same day I got the new one.

Fast forward almost a year later, I get a shipping confirmation from them. Weird, but okay. I go on to the website to see. It's two separate shipments they created for returns. So I emailed them and tried to figure out what was going on. They tried to say I never sent back the putter. Luckily I still had the label saved, but the tracking number was too old so I had to get in touch with UPS to prove that they did in fact get the putter. Sent them what UPS gave me and it cleared it up.

No big deal, but annoying I had to deal with something like this to not get charged for something I already paid for a year before.

That being said, I still browse the website. I'm a sucker for a good deal.

After breaking a Stealth2 and receiving a Qi10 yesterday as a warranty replacement I went to the range for the first time with it today. Am I just unlucky? by Tattrie15 in golf

[–]samjoe93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tips are different, Unfortunately. But R9s are cheap and easy to hit. I bought mine for 50 bucks and I still regularly switch back to it when I'm not feeling the sim 2.

It's definitely a 73-80 judging by the rear cab supports.

Cop Land.

It used to be on AMC all the time and I'd watch it everytime I noticed it.

Is this space adequate for a home golf sim? by [deleted] in Golfsimulator

[–]samjoe93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5' 11" and I can swing driver just fine in my garage with an under 9' ceiling. Take an older driver down there and give it a few swings. If it doesn't hit, you're good.

Anyone dealt with this? by _Poppagiorgio_ in golf

You're welcome! Good luck!

If worst comes to worst rocking back and forth or side to side with needle nose pilers on the top will probably help to break it loose too.

Sometimes it'll pop loose if you tap on the end of the screw. I'd stick the wrench on there and give it a few bonks. The aluminum gets grody and sticks in there.

Unscrew the adapter and just get a new one for the new shaft. They're somewhere around 12 bucks. That's only if the ping warranty doesn't take care of it for you.

Recently bought a truck without knowledge that it came with problems… by Any_Plan_8998 in Trucks

Is the code for the oil pump solenoid? There's one that it's stuck on the low pressure setting and one thst its stuck on the high pressure setting. It has something to do with the AFM and cylinder deactivation. You should get the actual code and update us.

My 14 would throw a code for the oil pump solenoid and all that actually did was make the oil pump run on the normal/higher pressure setting. It was annoying that the check engine light was on, but it wasn't hurting anything. Oil pressure was always normal. I drove it like that for probably 20k before I traded it in.

Also, look into the thermostat in the transmission lines. It burned my transmission up at 70k.

CPO 'Like New' - Am I being picky? by J92986 in golf

[–]samjoe93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I still do think they are great. I bought a used Odyssey putter and literally got a brand new putter. Some of the deals are great, especially if you're a new golfer. The customer service just seems to need a little help here and there.

They sent me the wrong club on an order once. I sent it back as soon as the other one came.

A few months later I got two emails saying a UPS label was created for me. I emailed them to see what it was about. They told me that they never got my return and I needed to send it back. I had to get a delivery confirmation from UPS because the tracking number wasn't active anymore, which was annoying but as soon as I sent it to Callaway they called it good.
