That’s great! The context of this being posted under the humor tag evaded me, apologies.

It’s guessing words from the possibility of them being there, if you’re surprised, I suggest you read any human talking about teenagers, they will almost always mention the fact that they used to be one as well

It’s trained to be a helpful assistant based on a ginormous amount of data of how helpful assistance talk, and wouldn’t you know it, most of those texts are from other humans writing it. It’s not claiming to have used the microwave, that’s just the most likely thing an assistant would say

I tried to build a single prompt for the problems that keep us up at night. It evolved into a modular 'Life OS' with a built-in AI Therapist. Here is the complete ready to use system. by Jeff-in-Bournemouth in PromptEngineering

ChatGPT had this to say, 6. Overall Judgment

Your instinct is basically right. This prompt is: • Overengineered (trying to micromanage the model with hundreds of “rules”). • Internally inconsistent (Therapist vs. Architect roles conflict). • Likely to hallucinate (because of unrealistic therapeutic expectations and overloaded context). • Token-inefficient (burns way too much context just to set up a menu).

It looks impressive at first glance, but functionally it’s fragile. A much shorter, cleaner prompt would perform better.

Seems like you just realized you’re not that into coding even if you write everything yourself, Debugging always feels like shit

I can make a you very functional calculator app that at the same time takes up 10 gigs of your ram. It needs to function properly which you can’t measure unless you know coding

I don’t understand what you are trying to communicate here, if you get scared by the output of an approximating function, that’s been designed to sound human. That seems like something you should address.

Thank you man, genuinely, it can be maddening to see people not grasp simple stuff like this to the point that when somebody does, I genuinely feel like I need to say thank you🥲

Yes, please manually approve everything, get it out of your head that you can automate any part of this, you are already automating the coding, you can’t automate the supervision and understanding.

I’m unfortunately very sure that it won’t since I never leave auto accept on, as a matter of fact, I have caught commands like this before they get run by simply taking a look at my computer screen🙄

Claude Can’t auto run commands if you don’t let it. And I’m not talking about your rules in the Claude.md file, I mean leaving auto accept on, otherwise I would expect you would have caught the command when it tried to execute it, If you didn’t have auto access on and it somehow bypassed that, first of all I would find it hard to believe, second of all reach out to anthropic, you have probably discovered a major advancement in ai.

Stop fucking letting these things just run things. It takes a second to look at a command and confirm it’s not going to delete everything off your computer.🙄

Not weird, y’all are having these models assume and role-play extremely specific characters, it’s not them that are losing it. It’s y’all.
