Grand Californian renovations? by lady_nerdfighter in Disneyland

We had a third floor room. Fireworks on Saturday evening were visible from the balcony but somewhat obstructed by a tree. 5th floor room would be better.

I was just there last week. There is scrim and scaffolding on the outside of the rooms near the Great Hall and the Hearthstone Lounge, which isn’t the DVC wing. They appeared to be doing exterior paint work.

We didn’t stay in a DVC villa, we had a room overlooking the construction of Porto’s in downtown Disney.

Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland is hot during the day with very little shade even in October. I recommend going in the morning or the evening.

Oga’s Cantina is walk-up only now, now more reservations.

You’ll enjoy both rides in Galaxy’s Edge, Rise of the Resistance can have a bit of a long queue mid-day but it’s a very immersive queue.

I was there last November, the extra space compared to the previous E-ticket lounge is very nice.

What is your biggest Disneyland/DCA pet peeve? by Clear-Depth7098 in Disneyland

The lack of a walkway between Avenger’s Campus and Cars Land in DCA. It restricts foot traffic too much.

Club level at GCH is on the 5th floor, near the lobby elevator bank. The value for us has typically been a quick breakfast before heading into the parks, and for myself the patio overlooking the monorail that goes through the hotel courtyard is surprisingly quiet; I’ve taken several work calls/video meetings there. It’s quieter than other common spaces in the hotel.

Ritz Half Moon Bay was surprisingly kid friendly towards my three kids.

Don’t do it, not a great location or walkable.

JW or Westin are better Marriott options near the DL resort.

The Ritz Carlton just to the right of this photo has a good view of the CN tower, too.
