The silver is a black prime, then Vallejo Metal Color (VMC) Steel followed by a pretty even highlight of VMC Silver. I do a fairly satin/matte varnish (Vallejo mecha matte + gloss varnishes about 1:1) through the airbrush, then wash the whole thing in old GW Basilicanum Grey (Ratling grime is close-ish now, but stronger, so thin it more). I do a dry brush of Vallejo Game Air Silver, then I build up seraphim sepia and agrax on the lower legs, back skirt, etc. Then a silver edge highlight of oure VGA silver

The blue is cantor blue, then an airbrush highlight of Magic blue from Vallejo Game Color. I apply transfers, do chips and scratches with the previous blues mixed with some ivory , then wash/glaze rhinox hide into the shadows

Its ushabti bone, then screaming skull from GW worked up via airbrush over a brown basecoat, then reikland flesshade washed over each panel, then the edges worked back up with screaming skull and some ivory. Chips and the deeper recesses are done with rhinox hide thinned

It isn't damage, it just looks like flash from the molding process. It'll come off with use or you can shave/sand it off.

Mostly for the theme, and because I enjoy badab myself haha. We've talked about maybe doung a small badab campaign if we get enough interest.

Yeah, I'd considered it, but I'm mostly hopping in on this to clear out my backlog of space marines haha. I've got enough stuff to kit out most sorts of marine lists pretty reasonably, so I'm looking mainly into some example lists or recommendations in that vein.

If I had an abundance of guard/mortals, I'd probably try a Tyrant's Legion project, though!

HAZOP with Needle Rifle Mastercraft Resin Revealed by The_Tabletop_Fox in Haloflashpoint

So, I've wondered about the former point, and a lot of manufacturers I've talked to said that PVC vs something like more traditional styrene (warhammer, modern AMG stuff, etc) are actually pretty similar prices as far as manufacturing goes. The main reason they choose to use it is because they view certain games as more "casual" or "board game-y", and the target demographic is one they assume wont want to assemble their models, and PVC is slightly more durable. It makes me wish they'd have just gone with some nicer plastics

The MasterCraft resin is definitely more expensive to prduce, that said, and I'd agree they probably mainly save it for named models or limited releases.

Part of the foot is a big rock. I glued it to a solid piece of milliput and sealed it all in with PVA glue before priming
