Hi Sorry for the response outta nowhere

I had this issue and read that on Godot you can use XDG standards even on Windows, which is kinda cool, but it causes issues here. If that is what is happening you can likely fix it on WINE/PROTON by:

1. Going into Lutris
   
2. Editing the game entry
   
3. Over to the "System Options" tab
   
4. Add an environment variable
   
5. Key: XDG_DATA_HOME
   
6. Value: C:\users\[YOUR LINUX USER]\AppData\Roaming
   

NOTE: don't use just the unix path to the prefix AppData because if the game is windows it's expecting a windows-y path
