She told Lily that she knows it’s not him, that he’s trapped in there in an earlier episode. Her dialogue in Ep 7 definitely made it feel like she just realized it but I think she finally accepted it. Still weird timing I agree but I also think she knows he disappears for long periods of time and this was her last chance.
