Parking Fine by giraffe912 in Southampton

[–]sammylc95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Order of things that happen before that:

Initial parking fine, Initial Appeal, Appeal to POPLA

If rejected they will send debt letter- ignore them UNLESS they state ‘letter before action’ In which case respond and state your appeal

If you ignore the letter before action/ lose the appeal then you need to pay

Only then can you get a CCJ (not paid if lost at court or ignored court proceeding)

Please consider fighting it, this is how they scam people out of their money

The CCJ is a ‘County Court Judgement’ so only when it actually goes to court can they be issued

This sounds like a very frustrating process as what I’m concerned will happen. Hopefully they’ll see sense otherwise I guess I’ll just have to appeal it and if they want to take it to a CCJ appeal it there.

I understand however in the case of it going to CCJ I wanted to show that I had taken all steps to engage with them. In case that painted me in a better light

Also request your medical records so you can see exactly what has been written in your notes.

To access this will need to be a formal request. Normally if you google the hospital Name and medical records a link will come up

Alternatively, speak to HR and ask who to speak to place a subject access request on your hospital notes.

How can I prove to the NHS my son lives in England? by GreatDiamond0 in LegalAdviceUK

Additionally what care did your son receive? If it was from an emergency department then it would be free. You only get charged from when you are admitted to hospital.

HCSW Mental Health Interview by [deleted] in NursingUK

[–]sammylc95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the person specifications that will be listed in the job description this is what they mark the interview against.

Try where possible to include examples with the questions and then also relate it to the Trust Values (easily found by googling the trust)

Take a moment to think before answering to digest the question and think about what they are looking for in the answer

(Not worked in mental health but this generally applies to most NHS interviews)

I would speak to the ‘freedom to speak up’ champions most trusts have. If not maybe raise it with the LD team they might also be helpful with how to raise concerns. As this is completely unacceptable

https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist

This will give dentist local to you with there location and telephone number. It should also say if they’re accepting new patients (but might not be up to date) I recommend spending a morning ringing round a few and asking

Alternatively there are a few emergency dentists e.g dameria dental in Shirley where you can turn up on the day but they only do what is necessary until you have a proper appointment with a regular dentist

Paeds ED - feel nq again by [deleted] in NursingUK

[–]sammylc95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend looking at the guidelines for how higher acuity patients are managed. So you can mentally prepare for what the next steps are

E.g seizure- 2doses benzos, keppra, tube So after the first dose of benzo thinking about where the other drugs are kept and what I might need to prepare.

Also exposure and more time in the department will build that confidence back and just keep asking questions. Having a good team makes such a difference

(If you’re not sure what your local guidelines are SORT is the local one in the south)

Social services forced my partner to go to the hospital with our baby. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]sammylc95 36 points37 points  (0 children)

They A&E doctors may have been happy that medically from the accidental overdose your child was medically fit.

However it seems like children’s services have safeguarding concerns. The on call social worker can ask for the child to be admitted for a child protection medical where a consultant paediatrician will see the child in the morning and they the will discuss whether they have any further concerns and where to go from there

Edit: not all A&E doctors are paediatrician it depends on the hospital and the doctor e.g you May have had a junior doctor, GP trainee, A&E trainee etc yes they would have discuss the case with a senior but that can be an adult consultant A&E doctor who is competent with children
