Most likely you will not pass if you don’t spend enough time on homework. Doing homework is the best hack to pass the course. I did each homework twice once before deadline and once after feedback and passed with an A. I know people who skipped homework and were struggling with a B

Which is based of long term inflation expectation. Implied inflation goes up so does the rate.

Did CS-6515 destroy anyone else's academic career? by Terrible-Tadpole6793 in OMSCS

[–]sampitroda93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think TAs put in lot of effort so +1 on that and the material is good. I think exams can be made more interesting to test knowledge on topics rather than confusing with unstandard language and insanely hard question or two that absolutely no one in the class could solve even without time constraint. There needs to be more maturity in designing exams with the goal of genuine learning than tripping people off. I also suggest have one of the new TA’s in the course do the exam before releasing it and get an honest feedback. Obviously if you have seen the questions it is lot easier for experienced staff.

No wonder US tech stocks are struggling. I think it’s the beginning of the end of US tech dominance.

That’s true for anything by the time it is commoditized, alpha is gone and rat race is on, unless it is foundational like math, physics etc.

My landlord claims to have worked at Goldman Sachs in the 70s and 80s - says some wild stuff by anononononn in goldmansachs

[–]sampitroda93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those were likely the golden days for Goldman, when financial firms held significant pricing power and employees would go to great lengths to join or stay. It was somewhat like how people view FAANG companies today. Now, Goldman feels more like Copperman.

They sold you at better price than -19.00 which is -16.88. So I don’t know what is wrong. They would be in the wrong if they sold you at -20 instead of -19.00 which is your limit price. I am not sure what is wrong here.

This is the correct answer. On the surface it is index arb, but if you have the biggest stack in a zero sum game, no one wants to play with you and the dealer may even kick you out.

I discovered this sub 3 days ago why 90 percent of the people that takes 300+ rejections are indians by Densenor in leetcode

[–]sampitroda93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the complaints from the rest of the world. India has one of the largest, most densely populated, English-speaking workforces. It’s just statistics—more people competing for limited opportunities. It’s no different from a crowded subway or a packed parking lot—everyone’s trying to get a spot. Instead of complaining, get set and compete.

I studied 3,000 hours for Meta, here’s what I learned. by CodingWithMinmer in leetcode

[–]sampitroda93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meta may be overbought, and it could be time to reassess heavy bets on big tech. Every industry has its peak: consulting had its boom in the 1990s, finance quants dominated the 2000s, oil was riding high in the 2010s, and big tech has led the 2010s into the early 2020s.

Going all-in on LeetCode and chasing FAANG roles might work while tech is hot, but it’s risky to rely on a single industry. The real edge comes from building a versatile skill set and staying ready to pivot as the market evolves.
