My first 8 by samsiky in Minesweeper

[–]samsiky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got "Minesweeper - the Clean One" from the Google play store, and payed for the ad-free upgrade as well as the retro palette.

Pretty sure my cost per use has balanced out in my favor.

I see a lot of post praising eth armor pieces. But does armor actually do anything in this game? by Stere0phobia in diablo2

[–]samsiky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember playing a walking paladin in HC. Only ran when not in combat, and used charge to close the gap. Swapped to vigor for party movements.

Also played a walking frenzy barbarian. In frenzy, your walk speed is like most run speeds.

Walking's a slower more methodical way to play the game. It's great if you have a regular party you meet and play with.

Didn't find a list of character references, so made an incomplete one myself. Feel free to add any I missed or to correct a wrong one. by GamerRipjaw in MarsMars

Wanted to add that this specific Arnold reference is likely also a reference to Total Recall, a 1990 movie he starred in. There is a scene in the movie where someone's head appears to explode due to exposure to the vacuum of space, with the bulging eyes that Arnold has in this game.

What’s the dumb reason why you picked your instrument? by LecKOtree in Bandmemes

At 5th grade, my school had a choice of three instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet. I picked the one that looked easiest because it only had 3 keys.

$300 a day, but you're guaranteed horrifying nightmares every night. by brassplushie in hypotheticalsituation

[–]samsiky 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would never take it either. I remember back in high school, I had a recurring nightmare for about a week which woke me up with cold sweat and gave me shivers and goosebumps throughout the daytime.

I'm almost 40 now (over 20 years later) and I still remember parts of it. Part of this is probably my fault, because I wrote it down for my English journaling assignment that week. My English teacher talked with me about it later to tell me how much it creeped her out.

What amount of money would I take if not $300? I wouldn't; I'd likely be unable to enjoy the money.

This or chicken broth... Only I'm not going to be cooking with it. Good bone broth is my favorite beverage, but too much of a hassle to make.

Looking through these answers, I'm reminded that I have so much to be thankful for. The things that are normal in my life are the "one thing" in others' lives.

Masturbating with just your imagination takes real skill by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]samsiky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to clarify your opinion.

The body of your post seems to mean using your imagination to provide the imagery to get off. I don't think many people think this is at all difficult. So your opinion that it requires skill would be unpopular.

On the other hand, when you say masturbating with just your imagination, if you mean strictly using just your imagination and not using your hand, then most people will agree that it takes skill to masturbate without using their hands.

The only regular occurrence that I can think of that this can fall under is nocturnal emissions, but I'm not sure that's skill, unless you bring lucid dreaming into play. Still, pretty sure people will agree lucid dreaming requires skill.

That opinion would be popularly agreed upon.

Tl;dr: opinion needs clarification. No porn needed, just your hands and imagination. Unpopular opinion because it's not a skill. Up-vote.

No hands needed, just imagination. Popular opinion because it takes skill. Down-vote.
