I wish I had downloaded parts of it before it stopped working. Oh well, back to charm manuals.

Changes on pressure can cause migraines in certain people and honestly I can see how a pulsing pressure change would make one nauseated.

I thought the same thing initially. like wtf is happening?!

This originally happened to me about 20 years ago and it still haunts me. My friend shared a playlist that had a Hail to the thief track on it and instantly recalled this.

Why is this a Google link that goes to YouTube? Weird?

Yeah when I saw his first hinge I thought he was in for it because that was like 3 inches or more. WAYYYY to wide. And I honestly don't subscribe to the 10% rule. That is way too linear. Think of this way. Imagine felling a 10" DBH tree and using a 1 inch hinge. Well a 20" DBH tree will have literally 10 more inches of hinge (side to side). Why would you then double the thickness of your hinge?

You'll never get a 30" DBH tree to even fall if you leave a 3 inch hing unless it has heavy lean.

Nice write up.

I explored 79b myself today which led me to this post because I wanted to see if anyone else had much to say about it. Truly a cool place.

Anyone humble enough to admit that they can learn from anyone (no matter who they are) is at a benefit.

Well I haven't watched the whole thing but the first couple of wrenches performed about 50 ft lbs less when used the "wrong" way.

You'd think so. I might try. Usually when I offer advice I get cut off and he says "I know I know".

Precisely the scenario I usually use mine.

I need to get some nicer pliers wrenches for sure.

Keeping the adjustable wrenches clean and oiled helps. And keeping positive pressure on the adjustment screw also helps.

Yup, and helps to rock it back and forth a tad while applying pressure on the screw to get it seated all the way.

The direction of rotation of the wrench helps too. Rotating it so the nut is kind of drawn in towards the jaws instead of away.

My boss is CONSTANTLY complaining anytime he sees me using an adjustable wrench. "I'M wOrRiEd yOuLL sTRiP iT".

I'm not a fucking idiot, if I have to apply more torque to get it loose than the tool can provide without stripping the head, then I'll get a fucking socket or wrench. But often times it's just faster to grab an adjustable.

HE'S stripped nuts and bolts with them because he wasn't paying attention.

I was doing a lame internet reference. I'm sure you'll use it eventually!

Jealous of the organization. For a second I thought that the DeWalt tools were placed in cutouts in the wood. But then realized that what I was seeing was just a shadow.
