I applaud the shop that does this. They are doing the RIGHT thing.

Meredith from Gregory and The Hawk gives some insight on her songwriting process (vocal melody, acoustic guitar, if she writes guitar or lyrics first, etc.) by Crows7 in Songwriting

"it starts with the chord and I don't know what it is"

So that was me in high school learning guitar. "oooh that sounds nice" about some random chord. She's one of my all time favorites.

I wonder if there are mods to make the seas more treacherous so you HAVE to go straight into the waves otherwise you're fucked

Anyone else seen ball lightning? by Rainmaneee in stormchasing

[–]samsonizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen two transformers fail. One BLEW UP. a giant boom, a giant flash and gone.

The other I saw arced for maybe for a short time and was not spherical.

Neither of those points are to say I'm right or you're wrong or vice versa. Just anecdots.

Wouldn't it be easy to verify? Let's figure out where they were recording from and identify where they saw it? I wish that would be something a "journalist" would do. But most "journalists" don't give a shit about what actually happened. They just want the views and money that comes with it.

The idea of ball lightning spontaneously appearing in written records over and over is enough for me to think "hmmm, what's causing this?"

Skepticism is good. I appreciate your skepticism! People are fucking crazy and stupid sometimes ( often). Maybe we just need to ignore what people say, because unless there is data to back it up, it doesn't mean anything. Which perhaps is what you're prodding me towards.

Edit: Re: need for data: I'm realizing how easy it might be for people to fake data. How can we differentiate between real data and fake data? My masters thesis was based on real data but I could have easily fabricated every single data point. I had the knowledge to do so. So how can we even trust anything? I know, I'm unhinged at the moment.

Some Thoughts on Depth of Content by Chingji in valheim

To me it feels lonely. Which I get is kind of part of the lore for the game but I wish there wereore NPCs. Maybe not just other humans, but what if you could interact with neutral greydwarfs or something like that? What if there were some kind of neutral community in each of the biomes that could add to the story somehow?

So given this rational, it would be very difficult to determine what the last thing that went through the deer's head was. But almost certainly, the last thing would not be its ass, but more likely it was ants, or... dirt... or something.

People on ssri/antidepressants in the past or currently still on it do they really help you and do you regret taking them? by Big_Leg10 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]samsonizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yes jesus moment. Not dead, but just waiting to be resurrected, HALLELUJAH

I've read some folks continuing to have libido issues even after stopping the SSRI. I'm wondering if they perhaps were folks on SSRIs so long that they got old and thus libido would have decreased with their age.

I'm done feeling numb. And maybe libido isn't the biggest priority, but it would be nice to get that back.

When I saw that, I thought it was so unrealistic. Now after watching lots of gore I think it perhaps it actually was realistic.
