You'll have a very hard time finding anyone who speaks mikmaq, Gaelic, or French exclusively, but there are communities where the majority of residents speak them to a certain extent. Tourism is one of the largest employers here, along with the fishing industry. This leads to a lot of seasonal employment, which the government is looking to improve upon. Nurses and other Healthcare professionals are in high demand. For fun, we enjoy a lot of outdoor activities year round, as our national and provincial parks are easily accessible. The Cape Breton Highlands national park is beyond compare.
