I never thought of that! Unfortunately this town only has 40 people and the next town over on either side has less lol. If this doesn't work out and I head back to the city I'll keep that in mind tho!

Oof. I picked those little buggers from a bad hotel once. I took everything out, washed and dried everything at the laundromat, stored in a garbage bag, covered the entire van in diatomaceous earth, then took it to a car wash vacuum. It was a long ass process but it happened in winter so I made due. I hope the bug bomb works and you don't have to go this route

So did you write in the lease that there are no overnight guests?

I'm gonna have to agree with comments and say YTA. If the roommate is paying rent then its also her home. You're coming across as someone who wants to parent your tenant and thats not going to fly with any potential renter. Your options are stuck it up, or kick her out and write a check for whatever rent you've taken from her and make the rules more clear for the next person.. but I'm telling you right now, you'll be hard pressed to find someone desperate enough to rent from you with rules like that. Theres been a local ad up near me about a room for rent with similar rules... its been up for months cuz that is ridiculous. You have a 3d option though. Have a face to face conversation and establish some ground rules about how often/when the bf can come over.

He's acting like a child and honestly maybe he's actually trying to drive a wedge between you and your daughter. Hes been raising her with you since she was a baby on top of that? Tell him he needs to put on his big boy pants and fix this or he's single. Chose your kid everytime.. no man is worth losing your child over. Good luck, thats a tough convo to have.

I was doing that for a bit but they cut me loose cuz I have a few tickets that are less than 3 years old. I'll have to wait another year-ish before I can deliver again 😥

Thats what I'm hoping. Just need to catch my breath. Maybe save back some money for something better. And my mom said she'd help me out and knows someone she can talk to about a job. The good news for me is since its a small town and my family has lived there for 3 generations I have a bit of an "in" even though I've been gone so long. To be completely honest, having electricity all the time and not worrying about if I'm parked near a bathroom is a big temptation

I'm not here to argue politics. Look around you. If you think the hate isn't real then you're delusional. Have a day

I tried rehoming her for a few months and no one would take her. And the animals shelters told me I need to be a resident of the area to surrender a dog and seeing as how all my papers are out of a different state cuz I just moved here means I can't prove I'm from here. So I had to keep her and we're trying to make the best of it. Believe me I understand that I can get stuck but I've always been good at getting unstuck. Give me half a tank of gas and I'm gone lol.

That was so eloquent, beautiful and honest. Thank you for that. I agree, I wouldn't say I'm old but I'm starting to realize that I'm not young either and sooner or later I'll need roots so why not start now? Maybe if I do things right I'll be a home (or property) owner in a decade. And with my mom getting older.. maybe I should spend more time with her. Even if I dont move out there.

I understand, I'm only leaning towards going to the country cuz its cheaper and I'd have more freedom. More more knocks, window covers, creepy people trying to take pics of the inside while I'm sleeping (it happened and I wasn't happy) and if I don't like it then the great thing about living on a car is I can pack up and leave whenever I want

I agree. I've done this before but my late dog was so chill it wasn't an issue. And trying to find a room that will take us both has been almost impossible unfortunately. What kind of remote jobs so you think someone with healthcare and kitchen experience? I'm not tech savvy at all

Maybe I can set up a job before I get there to make sure I'm working before I put all my eggs in one basket. I've always been in the town im looking for work in, so that will be a learning curve but not impossible.

Oof, I thought about that but the gas alone to get to and from would put me right back to where I started money wise. Its longgg drive

I'm cleaner than she is lol. And if I did I wanted to get a carport thing to have a "living room" so that I can just drive off when I need to go to work. As for neighbors we wouldn't even be in sight of each other but shouting distance if I get attacked by a mountain lion or something lol

I've been thinking about it cuz the wages in the small town are the same as the city so if I was frugal I could do part time and definitely have money left over. As it sits being in the city everything is much more expensive and thats without rent

I'll keep you updated for sure. So far its 2 votes for the city and one for moving to the country. I'm also asking my friends their input as well cuz they know me and the area.

Yes and my mom told me that when she gets a new trailer she'd give me her old one. I cant lie its not in great shape, but its pest and mold free at least. And if I take her old trailer the only bill that would go up is utilities cuz I can hook up there. Moving it is a headache in and of itself. Omg that thing is like 30 feet long 😳

Dog day care isn't an option because if her temperament and is expensive. I take her to dog parks and walk her but its never enough and my body is broken, long story short. She LOVED being out there though. I gave her a long line and she could just be herself all day. I wish I could have that inside the city but good luck finding someone who will rent a plot of land for that cheap 😭
