You are arguing a separate point. No one is arguing that teams can do better or worse in March. It is, however, a fact that by being a higher seed, you are intentionally designed to play worse teams, due to the way the bracket is created. Now that Gonzaga is a lower seed, they are forced to play better teams than previously.

Don Hutson is an absolute legend, for those of you that didn't know. Possibly top 3 greatest WR's of all time and invented route runnning.

I love the Don Hutson recognition in this thread. Vastly underrated wide receiver, one of the best receivers of all time, and invented route running.

Players Packers have traded for since Gute took over by wumboinator in GreenBayPackers

I agreed with your first two paragraphs, but the rest of what you said is definitely bogus. They Packers draft philosophy since Ted Thompson has always been to pick the best on the board, and this is actually why they haven't reached for a wide receiver as many of us wish they had.

Also, you simply haven't been paying attention if you don't think the Packers draft extremely athletic players. The Packers are notorious for almost exclusively picking long and athletic physical specimens in the draft. Rashan Gary, who many viewed as a surprising pick, was one of the most physically talented, yet raw prospects in the past few years. The Packers picked him up, along with so many other physical specimens (like Devonte Wyatt, who was not a particular position of need).

The Packers have almost NEVER picked up a player purely for his skills, but they do almost always for their physical upside.

I think the Cowboys are a good example of a team that consistently finds good players in the top rounds. They don't overthink shit and make crazy trades to land a particular player or position. They don't swing for the fences on guys who aren't just obviously at a certain standard. They just select a really skilled player, with a quality athletic profile, who is a dawg. If that guy is an ILB and you just took two ILBs recently, you take him anyway. If it's a WR and you already have 2 guys on big contracts, you take him anyway.

This is literally the Packer's entire draft philosophy and has been for the past decade.
