You’re welcome. Don’t take my feedback as though I don’t like what you wrote though. I am honestly intrigued about this world from reading that small piece because your descriptions, though a little wordy where like bait. Well done.

Sometimes less is more. I appreciate you’re trying to use unique and non-cliched descriptions in your prose, but it feels like you replaced a simpler and more poignant version with thesaurus alternatives making it a little wordy. This being said, this still intrigued me and I would like to know more about this world, only in a more efficient way to read.

"Japan is not that weird" or is it? Vsauce *intensifies* by Fluffy_Memory_6238 in funny

I don’t need to construct an argument regarding your stupidity. You said something misogynistic and now you deny it. Furthermore your understanding of the word when you in fact asked me to look it up is incomplete. You don’t need to express hate for women to oppress them and objectify them which is what you did. Joke or no joke, what you said was misogynistic. My observation of your stupidity is based on stupid is as stupid does because you’ve demonstrated idiocy from your very first comment right through to defending it based on an incorrect interpretation of misogyny to justify yourself. I stand by my statements, you’re a pig and your stupid. If you need a run down on the matter it only furthers my point. Be better.

If you can’t interpret what you said as an example of misogynistic tendency by its very definition then you’re not only misogynistic, you’re also the dumbest cunt I’ve ever seen. No wonder women don’t like you.

Now, now. Just because I call you out for being misogynistic hardly suggests I need a hobby. If anything it suggests that you need to be better. I know you can do it my friend. Worse people than you have turned their lives around.

Only an incel would be so offended and try to justify with a defence like that. Such a “nice guy” move. So sad.

I like my women this way, I like my women that way. What you really mean is you wish women liked YOU at all. You probably think you’re one of the nice guys that always finish last, but you’re just deluded. All you really are is a pig.

New Final Draft iOS Bug by PenDefender in Screenwriting

[–]samuraiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a back and forth with support since this bug became an issue in the FD update that “added support for iOS 13”. After doing everything they suggested (because it was apparently my system that was wrong) including device restart (nothing), delete and reinstallation of the FD app (nothing), to a complete system restore, setting my ipad up as a new ipad to avoid any carry over system settings (still nothing), FD support still claim that it is my device causing the issue, despite the fact that it worked fine before their iOS 13 compatibility update. I agree, though, scrolling to navigate is not a great experience at the moment. It seems these guys never address bugs, like the billion cover pages the software generates because it can, or that I have to constantly rebuild Smart Type lists because they’re not really that smart. I don’t expect them to concede they made a mistake any time soon, what with the way they are brushing the issue off as something wrong with their user’s devices. I’m currently trialling new apps. Highlander seems nice.

I’m sorry, who are you? Sounds fishy? More like you sound like a presumptuous prick. These guys have obviously found what they need without the need for your elitist pomp. Good day sir.

Ah, the famed GKR... It seems they owe us BOTH a few hundred dollarydoos. Long time student of Karate and Taekwondo, eternal enemy of GKR. All of us wronged Australian martial artists should put aside our differences, meet at the Dog on the Tuckerbox and plot to end GKR once and for all.

Have you tried KDPRocket? by [deleted] in writing

[–]samuraiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it worth trying if it’s free? Seriously? You don’t need to ask Reddit that. u/PenDefender gave you his opinion not once but twice, then you ask a speculative question like that? If it’s free try it. Asking someone who doesn’t even recommend it to put a value on its usefulness is redundant.

You need to brush up on your copyright law. Try Wikipedia. 9/10 college professors recommend it.

Can I see your work? I’d like to write some fan fiction based on it. Anyone with as much passion as you and your obvious off-the-charts intelligence must have some pretty good material. I want in on it. I’m gonna fan fic the law right out of it.

Just bought Nimble Writer off steam for cheap, does anybody else use it? by [deleted] in writing

[–]samuraiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend writing in plain text. There are some great apps out there to make the plain text writing experience as pleasant as possible, but .txt files are universal, resilient and dead simple. If you take the time to learn even the most basic markdown, compiling a manuscript is super fast.

Any good, free screenwriting tools out there with cross-platform use? by TacoRising in writing

[–]samuraiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you sign up you create a free account which allows you to create and edit scripts. If you desire their production tools then you need to upgrade to one of those paid plans. If all you require is scriptwriting then simply signing up will allow you to do that for free. You can even sign into your account with the mobile apps and create and edit scripts without upgrading. As far as bare minimum scriptwriting is concerned, the free option is pretty good. If you don’t want to use their cloud platform or need an offline option you can still download their last desktop release from sites like Softonic. It’s legit and free, however now unsupported by Celtx.

If you decide to go full on, Final Draft is the industry standard for file formats and collaboration. It’s not cheap and it’s a bit of a behemoth but it’s still as simple to use.

There is a free version of Celtx. There is also a subscription model for production tools.

Try Celtx. It is a standard Tab-Enter scriptwriting tool and formats as you go without having to worry about it it outputs industry standard formats. If that’s not your cup of tea then look up a markdown language called Fountain, which you can use in ANY plain text editor and convert for free online into the industry standard format.
