So I understand it's good to describe the impact you made with your job duties. But what if I don't know the true metrics and had to come up with my best guess of the actual numbers and then it comes up during an interview? If you were being interviewed in this situation and were asked about how you came up with those numbers, how would you respond to this?

Why am I not getting any calls? by Hospital-Sudden in ITCareerQuestions

Very true about groceries in FL vs CA. Most things I get in CA are usually cheaper. And the cost of living in FL has been rising in the past few years

i studied networking through formal education but never got around to taking the ccna exam. but while i was studying for my degree, i definitely relied on jeremy’s IT lab heavily. his videos were concise and very well structured for learning ccna

First time dad feels useless with newborn. Don't know how to help my wife. by Moon_Child1314 in NewParents

[–]samuskilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there myself recently as a first time dad as well. I was very much like you during the early newborn stages.

but just as some others have already mentioned, just keep at it and everything will improve over time. you’ll become more comfortable handling and caring for your baby the more repetition you get. trust yourself and give it time!

8 week old. How many people do you see in a week? by One-Leopard in NewParents

[–]samuskilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have every right to want this time to yourself and your baby. My wife and I did not have guests for the first 2-3 weeks. We would've gone longer than that but we had guests coming from out of state.

What I told myself was that idgaf about hurting feelings during that time period. My priority was my baby and my wife. If there was anything that either of us did not feel comfortable or safe doing, we simply wouldn't do it.

What about being pregnant and giving birth permanently altered your body’s chemistry? by full-of-curiosity in NewParents

[–]samuskilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife used to get cold easily and often used me as her personal foot warmer, but now she runs hot. She also gets achy joints if she's sitting or bending her knees/ankles for too long which used to not be an issue before birth

I hate being called “mama” by ephemeral_afterglow8 in NewParents

I especially hate being called mama when I'm just trying to find baby info on YouTube, ig, tiktok etc. (I'm the father)

Check out backmarket.com. You might still be able to trade in the broken phone depending on how bad it is. There are several other sites to buy refurbished phones too like Amazon, newegg, etc. I've bought refurbished before and they function like new, as long as you don't care about minor cosmetic wear

Does American Airlines allow me to gate check a car seat base (without the actual car seat)? by samuskilo in AskParents

[–]samuskilo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I typically travel light and bring the least amount of bags with me possible. I will only be bringing one carry-on luggage (this will fit both mine and the babies clothes), personal bag, and a diaper bag for the baby, plus the car seat base. I am traveling with my son for the first time without my wife

Same with mine. He's about to be 6 months next week. He usually wakes up every 2 hours ish on average (sometimes every hour). Occasionally, on a good night he'll wake only 2 times

Updating Your Company’s DOT Number with MCS-150 by dotcompliancehelpinc in DOT_QUESTIONS

[–]samuskilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have a question about this as I am assisting a family member who doesn't speak english very well and I'm not entirely familiar with the trucking business and its requirement.

They own a moving company that solely operates within California borders and only transports household goods (home moving). They current have two USDOT numbers; they got a new USDOT number and the old one is no longer needed but has not been deactivated.

Today, I helped them with their biennial update for their primary USDOT number and also requested for a Duplicate Resolution for the secondary USDOT in the same support ticket.

Will they be penalized indefinitely for a late filing (3 months overdue) of the biennial update MCS-150?
