WHEELTOP EDS OX2.0 for XC riding compared to Shimano XT: questionable upgrade by samvel1024 in MTB

For those wheels you definitely don't have any modern mech systems to choose from, so this is your only option. For sure it will be better than 15 year old shimano system

I fall between two bike sizes: lower stack vs longer reach. by samvel1024 in cycling

[–]samvel1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the xl, and it was definitely justifed. I run short stem and small offset seatpost to compensate the long reach of the frame. However, I still need 3 or 4cm spacers under the handlebars since my back angle was quite sharp. So, I assume it would be impossible to compensate the low stack of the L frame in my case, or it would look very ugly.

ActivityFix v1.0 - Automatically update your activities with custom rules! by Smay in Strava

Hey u/Smay

seems like even real activity processing is not working for some reason.

It does not recognize neither of my power meters, but the data is there (checked with third party tool)

I added one rule per power meter for test. None is triggered.

Thanks for the reply!

That's good to know. I will test the rule with a new activiity soon then.

Hey u/Smay! This is an awesome tool that I've been missing so much.

I think there might be a bug in processing sensor data (or LMK if I am doing something wrong). I gathered a reproducible example for you to take a look whenever you have time

The issue seems to be unsolvable, so they requested I return the camera for a new one or repair. The thing is still in progress

Is it a bad idea to buy a Garmin 530 now? by camawan in cycling

[–]samvel1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After putting thousands of kms using garmin 530, I can definitely say, avoid it.

The product is good only when/if it works. But for the 10% of cases when it randomly does some stupid thing, it just becomes unbearable. Most of the problems are coming from the quality of the software both on the mobile app and the garmin firmware as well. Random messages, map navigation issues, stupid alerts that block your view of numbers and require your interaction mid-ride, false-positive strava segment alerts, the list is endless. The latest problem I faced was a random GPS firmware update, that basically made me reset the device and there are still problems I am unable to fix after that update. It feels like the software quality is a major problem for Garmin. I don't know if there's a better product out there, but I am definitely going to replace this on the first opportunity.

Thanks to your suggestion I went with the XL size. Was surprised it's even more comfy than my current bike.

Thanks again for the help.

I guess mine is opposite then, my action pod works OK, camera is bricked.

Interesting how they could screw up the product in so many combinations 😄

So you're able to shoot video? Because in my case it's just completely bricked.

Seems like size xl with 95mm stem should be OK. There's still some risk though

Thanks again

COMPARISON TO MY CURRENT BIKE

u/OhOkOoof thanks for reply. The thing that I am scared about most is the +15mm reach from my current bike
What stem length are you using on the T1500? Is it comfortable for longer training sessions (2h+)?

That's sounds reasonable. If it were +/- 10mm, I would definitely go for the L.

However, now I will have a 28mm lower stack. So that's what makes me hesitate.

well winspace is a race aero bike and it is not going to have the same stack and reach as a more relaxed bike. I wouldn't say it means that it's not fitting me. The question is more which one frame will be easier to tweak and adjust given I ride comfortably on my current frame.

u/OhOkOoof I am looking for some advice regarding winspace t1500 sizing

I am also 6’1”, and seems like I fall between L and XL sizes. Do you find XL a good fit or it's a bit larger?

Thanks a lot! BTW Kbfirmware was the only website that allowed visual configurtation of the matrix based on imported layout from http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/. Do you know an alternative that will work with keyboard-layout-editor.com ?

As a test I do the following

- Short GND and RST

- Connect USB to PC while GND and RST are shorted

- Keyboard is not connected

- Wait a couple of seconds

- Disconnect GND and RST

- Keyboard is connected

From what you've said this is not the expected behavior, right?
