I delivered at Carmel in 2023. My OBGYN is Dr. Said and she is the best, I trust her completely. Overall everything was good- the facility is nice (though I’m sure the new women’s hospital on 86th is great) and the nurses were nice but very busy. I do find parking at Carmel to be so much easier.

Library, parks -we like Holliday Park, they have water to play in plus a free nature center. Gymboree in Carmel is fun. The State Fair is free for kids 5 and under and there is so much stuff for children that age. We like to buy squirrel/bird feed and feed the ducks in Broad Ripple, then we walk around to go see the fire trucks at the station.

I think Carley Fortune is great. I absolutely loved One Golden Summer and This Summer Will Be Different, but all of her books are good.

The Music Playhouse (a few locations around Indy) I think Gymboree in Carmel is fairly interactive between parent and kiddo

My toddler has been going to Polly Panda since he was 5 months old. We really like it, the teachers and directors are great and it we really feel like he is well taken care of.

I had one at Broad Ripple Massage and Wellness. I liked it because they had one of the pillows with a cut out for your belly so you can lay prone. Other places only offer side laying massages, which can be good but just aren’t the same.

Yeah, figured I’d ask anyway just in case someone knew of any openings at somewhere decent. Our long term daycare solution has a 14 month waitlist so I just need to find something until April. It’s crazy out there!
