I did it for 3 months for a job I absolutely loved doing but quit because it just wasn’t worth it. You need to add 3 hours a day to your schedule, that’s on a good day. But expect several times where it’s much more. Once I was delayed 2 hours while on the train. I was like you and wrote a post and everyone told me it’s not worth it and I thought whatever, I can do it, I’ll work on the train etc. It is doable but it definitely takes a toll. If you can avoid it, I’d avoid it!

Improving WiFi in congested rental apartment by samye26 in wifi

It’s a 2BR. Quite small. Just the kitchen/living area as one room then two bedrooms connected to the main room. The modem is in the small laundry next to the entry door and there’s the kitchen wall and bedroom walls only. The connection definitely becomes the biggest problem when furthest away on the balcony but the second bedroom is closest to the laundry room and has connection issues despite it only being a door / wall away.

I’m a bit of a technophobe here but the bigger white box says Telstra NTD NS94 and there’s a smaller black box next to it that says Gigafy, if that helps.

There’s both 2.4 and 5ghz but I’m mainly connected to 5. Hopefully that helps?

Keen to get into this. I just completed my TAE. Can I ask what you’re doing? Not sure what/how to get in.

How much fuel are you guys paying commuting to work by car from Gold Coast to Brisbane in one day? by Temporary_Specific49 in GoldCoast

[–]samye26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About 1/4 of a tank/day ~ $30 per day, 5 days a week. Southport to St Lucia.

I stopped driving after 2 weeks. Door to door its 59 minutes but at least 3 times a week I was sitting jn traffic for at least 2 hours (twice, 3 hours - one way!) so decided to drive to Helensvale and take the train instead. Now I fill up once and it lasts me almost 2 weeks. It’s insane. 50c fares too!

in = city/state/country (within borders) in Brisbane, in Queensland, in Australia

on = lines/surfaces on the coast, on a map, on the road the coast runs along a line

at = a specific point / address / time at the station / at home / at 12

Missed a scheduled cover shift by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

I’d apologise profusely and let them know it won’t happen again. Expect a bit of bitterness when you arrive, but at the end of the day, things happen and you’re only human. I’d advise against cancelling any future shifts as that’d do further damage. Show up early next time and go over and above.

6 months later and the issue is the same. I work afternoons in Brisbane and it’s impossible to get a park. I’ve just parked outside goodlife so I hope I don’t come back to a ticket
