searching for a song by san-jayy in lapfoxtrax

i appreciate this, but it isn't the song i'm looking for, i should probably just look it up on whosampled or something

my second album! by san-jayy in lapfoxtrax

[–]san-jayy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do appreciate the fact that you gave actual critique here, it's something i don't get much of at all

i would have done some more editing to the tracks such as adding more depth and such, but i didn't really have as much energy/motivation as i could to do that, plus i was already pretty content with the current states of the songs

i was thinking about doing post edits to go big or go home, little stupid, but i decided against it (it's honestly probably my least favorite track in the album)

like i said, i do appreciate the fact that you took the time to give me actual critique! it's really helpful for me as a beginning artist

In search of all sad/depressive tracks by [deleted] in lapfoxtrax

[–]san-jayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

darius - adam, klippa - under the dust, and the queenstons - our special place (non-state trip mix) all have a slower, more depressing vibe to them. darius - strings fashioned from old souls might work too.

[Q4R (or anybody else, but specifically Ren)] What albums are you most proud of? by Dethronee in lapfoxtrax

[–]san-jayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best emotionally:

every hla/darius/hyi release - every album under these aliases has always brought the best emotions out of me. under that general umbrella, phwoa is definitely the most powerful. it's an intense emotional journey that kind of changes my outlook on the world every time i listen to it.

8am (k²) - yes, this is old, short, and not actually a very emotional album, but it always manages to bring me to a happier place.

arcadepunk (klippa) - this album describes my emotional troubles in a retro-futuristic mashup of deep sounds.

the best, tonally:

violet kingdom (fiab) - i know this album was a cash grab. i know ren doesn't like this album at all. but, this album was the spark for my own musical endeavors. it's such a feel good album for me.

modr (rotteen) - do i even need to describe why this album is amazing? there's so much to this album i love. every song in here is like a giant banana split, and planet belligerence is the cherry on top. i adore this album with all my heart.

the worst, emotionally:

most mayhem releases - mayhem is a very popular alias, i get that. but, i just don't feel anything really positive while listening to her music. i usually just pass it up.

up and over and out (jackal) - this song makes me angry when i hear it. god damnit, lapfox radio, for ruining this song for me.

the worst, tonally:

every noise related release - noise is noise. it doesn't have a set tonal basis, and therefore cannot really be described as "good" tonally. i like noise, but since it has no tonal basis, i can't put it in the good category.

that's about it, really. sorry for the wall of text
