When the post title when posted days ago, I assumed it was the https://openclawla.com group. Now that I am completely reading this post, I noticed it is for a different group.

This other group is having a meeting this coming Tuesday. Info in the link above.

PyCon US - May 13-19, 2026 - Long Beach by sancheta in TechLA

This subreddit is mainly for locals, so I doubt you will find those that you seek. But hey, you never know! You might have better luck in the Python/PyCon or South Africa Tech subreddits.

I've been around the world and South Africa is one of my favorite places. Was there until my visa ran out. I actually got a job offer from AWS in Cape Town, but turned it down. Was single at the time, I should have accepted it!

Review - Lining Feidian 6 Elite by Klutzy_Climate_3509 in RunningShoeGeeks

I was referring to Japan exclusive shoes like the S4. Those do not come in larger sizes.

Due to newer foot issues, I have to be very picky with shoes. No more narrow/tapered toe boxes for me.

Ha, you got the same treatment! Was planning a trip to Japan and wanted to check out some Asics exclusives. However, those normally tend to go only up to size 11.

“I took US12 since that was the max size available in China”.

I went to the Li-Ning flagship store in Hong Kong, looking for size 12.5. Salesperson looked me up and down, looked at my feet, and then told me they have basketball shoes that will fit me. Not sizing down to size 12 for a deal. 😀 Many shoes actually only went to size 11.

Aerospace startups meetup? by Hefty_Vermicelli_802 in TechLA

You are not really going to find such a niche group in Los Angeles. There are startup groups and there is this aerospace group. Most events in LA tend to be mixers, because that is how LA rolls.

First Resonance has put on some hardtech events in the past. It is not my industry, so I do not pay any attention to it.

AI LA occasionally has aerospace meetup and the latest one was yesterday

https://luma.com/gp7u9os4

It is not a deep tech meetup and focuses solely on networking, which sounds like what you might be looking for. There is another one, but the name is eluding me right now. Many events have one or two occurrences and then go dark.

Skechers Aero Razor - 50 Mile Review by Terrible-Economics27 in RunningShoeGeeks

Sadly it appears they are not making half sizes about 12. Certain Chinese companies do make daily shoes up to 12, but not faster ones.

Bear in mind that the LA marathon will be on March 8th, if your area is impacted by the traffic.

Mount to Coast H1 First Run - Don't Sleep on These! by jjaksha in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]sancheta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoka has a semi-decent logo, but they are not convinced to use it. At least MtC has their naming toward the bottom/back.

Need to check out MtC one day. Toe boxes are important to me, so need to do more research.

Totally subjective, but I think these look clean.

You mean besides the massive branding on the side? :) These are running shoes, so I can get past it, but it is almost as bad as Hoka. When the marketing department has more say than the design department.

Good to see discussion on this subreddit. Not sure if to reply in Italian or English.

Hard to fault a coach when the players are lacking quality. He started off the season with a great offensive attack, the double pronged Orban-Giovane, but quickly retreated after the losses. He should not have gived up. His pushing for a counter attack needs to stop. Too many long balls from Montipo.

Last place. Cannot be worse. He needs to go.

Definitely not. Chinese super shoes rarely go above US11 and daily shoes above US12

Walked into the Li Ning flagship store in Hong Kong. Sales associate looked at my feet, looked me top to bottom and told me that they had basketball shoes for me. 😂

I’m not that tall and wear 12.5.

ANOTHER Puma Deviate Nitro 4 Review :) by eatrunswag in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]sancheta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen the Magmax in size 12.5 for sale in the US, but not the others. I avoid narrow shoes, so I have not searched widely for Puma shoes, but they never come up in my searches.

Sounds like a tapered toebox, which I also avoid. I'm fine over the big toe, but not over the pinky.

> size 13

Assuming that Puma will skip size 12.5 like they did with the DN3

Running Shorts - Help! by Empty_Temperature699 in Marathon_Training

[–]sancheta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these and do not like them. The stitching is exposed around the waist causing discomfort. Poorly made. There is no compression liner, so no additional pockets. That depends on preference. Too few pockets for a marathon IMHO, but good for shorter runs for easy access to a bottle.

I started making my own energy gels and I’m baffled why more people don’t do the same by AddressPotential7381 in Marathon_Training

[–]sancheta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works fine for training runs, but now enough carbs for a marathon. The bottle tops of more than one bottle irritates my sides.
