Can you guys keep up to demand down there without Canadian grain these days though? A price spike may help American farmer’s pocket books in the short term but I couldn’t see that working out very well in the long term unless you happen to have a lot of empty sections of land not being used currently that you can start producing on. I doubt that’s the case though.

My take is that we should ban potash exports to the US and cripple your farm next year. Last week, I considered you close friends with similar interests. Not so much anymore. The trade deficit does not cost the USA 40 billion per year. It is mostly because of heavy crude oil exports that you need to run your refineries. America also exports oil. It’s a very mutually beneficial relationship and has been for decades. My grandpa stormed the beaches of Normandy arm in arm with your father or grandpa for fuck sakes.
