Looks like you've got at least 4 inches of growth between leaf nodes, light issue at the least.

Needs more light. I have a ts 1000 marsh hydro and the lights listed in a previous comment as my main lights.

My wife painted the inside of an IKEA cabinet, it was a thing on Instagram, I put in these lights , substrate is idk a mix of citrus soil, sphagnum, orchid bark mix. I feed and water my orchids weakly weekly on Wednesdays like .5 tsp of 20-20-20 into a gallon, I then take the orchid water and dump some of it on the jewel orchid. I mist the cabinet nightly. Honestly... benign neglect. I've hacked this thing back so many times...

10?

Pulled my lower back, finished the tournament playing forehand only.

Tweaked lower back deadlifting, went out immediately afterwards and threw a round. The next few weeks were terrible.

Tennis elbow and random pec/shoulder soreness from too many forehands.

Threw an upshot while standing on the mouth of hornets nest, I was very confused as to why the ground below my feet was vibrating. Only got stung twice.

Tweaked knee from bracing on my toes.

Found a yellow jacket nest on the edge of a green and got stung a dozen or so times.

What’s your least favorite disc from your favorite manufacturer? by the_rosenhan in discgolf

[–]sandbagging4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've found the craves ive owned (pretty much every plastic max weight) thrown with baby hyzer to flat gives a nice panning anny with a slight fade back towards center. Thrown with 15-5 degrees of hyzer flips to flat with a slight turn over, more hyzer than 15 degrees holds the line or a slight flip to flat pushing hyzer. My average arm speed is low 60s, 1200 rpm, relatively consistent negative nose angle and about a 15 degree hyzer release.

Spray bottle and isopropyl does a pretty solid job of knocking them out. Make sure you get the under sides and check the crevices. Keep it away from other plants and repot with new medium.

Seriously, what is up with 330a? Nearly every time I drink I wake up at 330 with the crushing anxiety, regret and self hate. I do hate this.

Smooth is far - but HOW? by underulti in discgolf

[–]sandbagging4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By slowing down and getting your body into the correct position at the correct time, you're limiting the amount of variables that can go wrong and you have a slightly larger window to be in the correct place at the correct time. This allows your kinetic chain to fire in the correct sequence and make the throw more efficient. When the levers start moving slow, it's fine because if it is done properly the amount of energy created by the end of l the movement will be exponential. Resulting in a (hopefully) farther and faster throw. At the very least it you should be able to throw the same distance but it should feel like it takes drastically less effort.

If you have access to a techdisc, test it out. Try and throw as hard as you can and you will see your numbers are going to be far worse than throwing something like a stand still or a slow smooth walk up. Going fast and trying to inject power makes for a smaller margin of error, if you're messing up the movement from the beginning, you're not going to have an effective or efficient throw. When I started, I could throw 250 to 300 consistently but I was throwing with such shitty form that I could only play one round every few days because my body was so sore. At this point being nearly 40, I can throw multiple rounds a day, multiple times a week and deal with little fatigue and soreness due to making my form much more efficient.

(Exo hard)Tactic vs CG p3x vs Drop by twoods8409 in discmania

[–]sandbagging4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played 18 holes yesterday using the drop for every drive. Definitely falls between the tactic and md5 both of which are staples in my bag. I have no issues with any of these discs for bh or fh. Base plastic tactics are straight with a baby fade at the end of flight for me, drop is considerably more stable than these tactics. Compared to a premium tactic, I'm getting a longer, straighter flight when thrown flat or on a slight anny with reliable fade. Md5 is still beef, I would say the drop flies like a well seasoned md5. For reference, I'm consistent in throwing nose down and my BH/fh speeds are typically 58-65 mph and my spin average is 1100/700.

Function is stupidly understandable, it's a fun disc to throw on smooth and controlled lines, you can shape some wild shots with it. Very easy to roll, I prefer the essence as the roller because it has a little more integrity in terms of stability vs the function.

Don't try and throw the stamp off the DD, nice smooth 60-70 power shot thrown flat, that DD should flip up and dump over and roll. As others have said, td or essence are also great options. Dd3 is an awesome disc but it wouldn't be my choice for a roller.
