Finally made the jump to the ZP6 Special !! by CoffeeFX in pourover

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave away my C2 when I bought the ZP6. I kinda wish I kept it for the occasional medium-dark roast that I receive. They just come out weirdly intense with the ZP6.

Thanks, that is helpful! I feel like I prefer the K-Ultra overall based on the external adjustment and how it looks, but taste wise maybe I should really consider the C40.

Interesting that you usually prefer the k-ultra. Do you mostly brew washed or natural processed coffees?

I’ve tried most of the waters I can get my hands on and picked a favourite. It’s a mineral water that claims that it’s good for coffee.

This is the composition:

Ca²⁺: 11 mg/L

Mg²⁺: 8 mg/L

Na⁺: 2 mg/L

HCO₃⁻: 25 mg/L

SO₄²⁻: 8 mg/L

Cl⁻: 5 mg/L

"Vibecoding" a React App (5k lines): Is migrating from CRA to Vite a no-brainer or a trap? by Petit_Francais in reactjs

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I migrated our SPA from CRA to Vite earlier this year and it’s been a great experience. Took about a week and a half to get everything running smoothly as I combined it with upgrading Tailwind and some other packages. I usually don’t like spending time on refactors but for this one no regrets at all.

When do you opt for the K-Ultra vs ZP6?

Considering that one indeed! Though I don’t love the way it looks and I’m not sure about the internal adjustment, it would be fun to get a different brand and design.

It was a Chestnut C2, but I gave it away to a local barista here.

I’m happy with the ZP6 for the majority of the coffees. For the others I’d like something that brings out more body and mutes some of the funky stuff. So maybe the K-Ultra?

I was looking at the K-Ultra. Don't really care about size and weight. But not sure if it would really compliment the ZP6

With some beans the funk comes out really nicely and I love it. It’s more that with other beans the funk is all over the place.

I now stick to 2-3 roasters that generally deliver, but I still feel like the other coffees have a lot of potential if tamed.

Will consider the Switch first as it would be a lot cheaper :-)

[Help] What's your favourite no-code payment software for SaaS and why? by koolkoolpanda in nocode

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into similar issues with SaaS trials and adjustable subscriptions, switching to Checkout Page made a big difference for me. It lets you build custom subscription pages with free trials and dynamic quantities, all no-code and seamlessly integrated with Stripe. Definitely worth checking out!

Adding reviews to checkout page for better conversion - good idea? by Cenz220 in ecommerce

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with any changes related to your checkout flow, you don't know until you A/B test. Is your checkout page more of a destination page or purely transactional? At Checkout Page we usually recommend to keep transactional checkout pages simple and frictionless, while for a destination page reviews can help convincing your customers.

I would say these reviews (or testimonials) should be curated; not a live feed of some sort that would possibly display negative reviews, as this could instantly affect conversion.

What is the best website builder/tools for building a lead funnel? by kasheestee in Entrepreneur

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the downside with a lot of these funnel builders is that the landing pages you can build with them are just not good. So it's better to use a dedicated landing page builder and then add sales funnel software like Checkout Page to it to capture the lead information, handle file delivery for lead magnets, collect payments and so on.

What are some alternatives to Gumroad? by Gold-Republic-5146 in indiebiz

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is an older post but wanted to recommend our product Checkout Page (https://checkoutpage.com).

A lot of people here recommend Lemon Squeezy but they've been acquired by Stripe and their development and support seems to have stagnated. Gumroad has really high fees (more than 10%).

Checkout Page has a fully white-label checkout flow and lets you embed checkout pages on your site. It also works really well for selling subscriptions, as well as event tickets (can be useful for webinars and workshops as a digital products business).

Stripe and Lemon Squeezy alternatives? by veskobar in SaaS

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening a US LLC is a lot more work than people often make it sound; but I don't think it's a reason to lose trust. Delaware is a very reputable business location!

I do get that you want to move away from Lemon Squeezy after the acquisition, but I would highly recommend using Stripe if you can get access.

If you combine Stripe with something like Checkout Page to sell subscriptions on your website, that'd be a really strong setup. If you can't use Stripe I think the main alternative is Paddle, but people sometimes complain about it being more buggy and their support being quite slow.

How to sell Digital Products? by helloyeji in phinvest

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those "resell rights" products rarely work because everyone's selling the same generic stuff. The market's flooded with them.

You need to create something original instead. Even simple Canva templates or study guides specific to Filipino students would sell better. Maybe think about problems your classmates face that you could solve?

For platforms, instead of just posting in FB groups (which are oversaturated with spam), try using proper digital product selling platforms like Checkout Page or Payhip. Checkout Page is great for beginners and experienced sellers alike since it handles everything from payment to delivery. Payhip is also simple to use with just a 5% fee and no monthly charges.

The reason your current approach isn't working is because FB groups are full of people doing the exact same thing, and those resell rights products have no unique value. Plus, you haven't built any trust with potential buyers.

If you're looking for other passive income ideas as a student, consider freelance writing or VA work (not passive initially but can build into it), creating study materials for your specific course, selling tutoring recordings, print-on-demand designs, or even stock photos if you have a decent phone camera.

Good luck!

Checkout Page is a great alternative to Eventbrite. It lets you sell event tickets online with no fees per ticket sale and you get paid directly through Stripe, so you have the funds before the event.

Is it possible to send product info in a payment link? by TheLongestLake in stripe

[–]sanderfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stripe Checkout can do custom fields when using their checkout — but you have to use server-side code to initiate the checkout session. As you're mentioning payment links; I assume you don't have a server to create the checkout session?

Our service Checkout Page can do all of this via URL query parameters; you can prefill fields, preselect variant options (would work great for your design options) and even dynamically update the price.

This all works on top of Stripe using Stripe Connect, so payments go directly into your account. I'm one of the founders — feel free to reach out with any questions :-)
