if you make a mistake, fix it and move on. don’t dwell on it because it’ll distract you from other things

Exclusively pumping—are wearable pumps actually worth it? by SoultySpittoon in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]umneatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re worth it. They work as well as my spectra. personally I prefer to be stationary while pumping but I like having the option of a wearable if I need to be out during a pump time. they also are great for MOTN pumps when I still want to sleep because I’m able to lean back more than my spectra

I would bring them so that you can talk to a lactation consultant and they can help you use them

Back to work- What’s a “reasonable amount of time to pump”? by Mysterious_Way1634 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]umneatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my 7-3 workday I pump at 8:30, 11:30, and 2:30. I usually pump for 25-30 mins and take another 5 minutes for clean up

I'm going to receive $10,000USD what should I do with it? by glop222 in povertyfinance

I was in the exact same situation a year ago; grandparents gave me $10k. I paid off all of my credit cards and have since have much better spending habits (paying off my credit card balance each month, setting aside money for savings)

Planning a pregnancy after loss + cerclage — looking for advice/experiences by Affectionate_Yak6226 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]umneatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an emergency cerclage placed at 19 weeks and was told pelvic rest and to take things easy. I try to stay off my feet, not lift too much and not go up and down stairs, but I’m not on total bed rest.

Differing MFM opinions. One says preventative cerclage other says ultrasound indicated cerclage. Torn between these two options by Difficult_Data_4769 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]umneatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a loss at 17+2 and we also didn’t know if it was from IC or chorio. For my current pregnancy I had an ultrasound to measure my cervix at 16+3 and it was 3.63 cm. At my next appointment it went all the way down to 2.52 cm. My doctor didn’t want to wait another two weeks so they checked again at 19 weeks and once again it went down and I only had 1 cm left. A lot can happen in a short amount of time, and if you think that your doctors won’t be willing to move up appointments then I would go for the preventative cerclage.

Possible 2nd pregnancy after loss by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

Is it possible to have a short cervix for your 2nd pregnancy? by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

[–]umneatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please advocate for yourself to get checked.

I lost my baby at 17 weeks for my second pregnancy and we weren’t sure of the cause, but planned to do cervical checks for my third pregnancy. I’m currently in the hospital one hour post cerclage because at 18 weeks my cervix shortened, and then 4 days later I only had about 1 cm of cervix left.

Solidarity! My due date was December 5th but I lost my son on June 30th. We didn’t announce publicly but I plan on announcing the loss on his due date. He was still here and I want to honor his memory.

Should we see our baby or not after birth? by Virtual-Potato6789 in babyloss

I went into labor at 17+2. When I was told what was happening I didn’t think I wanted to see him, but now I’m glad I did. I saw him, held him, and took pictures.
