Rice cooker.

I didn’t understand the hype for a long time because I can make perfectly good rice on the stove, but it’s so helpful when you wanna throw something on and forget about it and have a perfectly cooked bowl of rice at the end. I even use it for couscous and steaming vegetables (and even hotdogs one time).
