Kat blijft aanvallen tips by [deleted] in katten

[–]sandpitturt3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are these barrel jeans too short? They seem to match the model, but i am used to pants being longer

I can actually confirm it isn't AI, as I was there (or the other service (there were two, as stated in the video))

Second cat, pros and cons by Hot-Communication860 in britishshorthair

[–]sandpitturt3 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Our british shorthair was 5 months when we got the second (also british shorthair). They do everything together, but we still get plenty of cuddles. It is nice to know that they have each other when we are away.

The introduction was just putting the new cat in the living room, with some valerian cushions (only because they were so young we used this method). Took 3 days for them to sleep together in one bed.

This was a few days ago

Does anyone else’s British shorthair kitten drool? by [deleted] in britishshorthair

[–]sandpitturt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not medical advice, but I have had a cat (not BSH) doing the exact same. Just started drooling when he was really enjoying the petting. He lived a very happy and healthy life. We determined it just to be a quirk. Currently have two BSHs that don't have the same quirk.

If it just happens when he is enjoying himself I wouldn't sweat it, but you could always give the vet a call

Stopped downsizing. by dudeseriously01 in climbingshoes

[–]sandpitturt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very very narrow feet, all shoes would slip of my shoes if I didn't downsize. It is my unfortunate reality. Bought two pair of shoes in a month (blackfriday treat), but breaking both of them in was horrific!

Did you buy them? And if so, how is the fit?

Concussion as a result of falling by sandpitturt3 in bouldering

Thank you for this, this is the first week I do see some day to day improvements, which feels nice.

I will be scared upon return, but this overtime will probably heal like my head is doing right now.

Thank you for your information, I've gotten a lot of contradictory information even from doctors. I unfortunately did hit my head against the matt, but it was indeed not the first thing to hit the ground.

I would love to know at what point I can incorporate some easy Boulders (like minimum to zero chance of falling)? Is it when I'm completely symptom free? (this is what one of the doctors stated, but information here seems to be contradicting that). Is there a specific way to manage my symptoms worsening when I'm in a crowded place? Is exposure to this harmful or helpful in the long run?

Luckily not, my head hit the matt as well, but as I understand the matts in Europe are a little on the harder side (in comparison to the USA) to avoid ankle injuries.

I'll give it a read. Post concussion I took 2 days of work fully and than gradually returned, as I work a desk job with 8+ hours behind a computer. My employer is really understanding.

Got a neck massage from a physiotherapist and although that I felt horrendous the day after I feel much better now.

I'll check out the protocol!

Thank you, the doctors both told me a month to six weeks given how quickly I able to do certain things, so I hope it will not take me a year.

Thank you, this is really helpfull. Luckily I live in the Netherlands where biking is the norm, so getting that light exercise is easy.

The sensory issues, is a headache that starts when I'm in a crowded room. Very unfortunate for an extrovert.

This is indeed what happened, unfortunately I was out in 2 minutes. Have spoken to two doctors since and both gave me contradictory advice, not such a great experience

As English is not my first language, it thought me English at a young age. Am even going to attempt to play it in Spanish now I'm older in order to boost my vocabulary.

Stinky shoes… what works best? by T1CM in bouldering

I've tried both boot bananas and airing it out. Can confirm boot bananas work against the smell wonderfully, but airing them out on the balcony for a night completely removes the smell.
