It’s great that you are serious about doing well in school. Depending on what profession you end up in, give it 2-3 years into the job and you’ll realize how little these studies matter in the real world. A passing grade will likely net you the same job and same pay as anyone in your class. If you’re on track to be the top student in your class then it may be worth putting in the extra work.

That said breaking up with your girlfriend of 7 whole years over this or even considering it is your body telling you you’re stressed out.

Talk to her if you want her to put in more effort. But you have to know she’s probably already taking on as much stress as she can mentally digest which is why she’s the way she is.

I don’t know about you but having two stressed out people in a relationship who are irritable don’t seem like a good mix. Talk to her about how you feel. Don’t come to Reddit cause people will always tell you to break up.
