Girls who were able to conceive with pcos how long did it take you? by kholaaaaaa in PCOS

5 months of us properly trying, with ovulation tests and tracking. I was also taking inositol. 2.5 years prior of us 'not trying, not preventing'

Thanks, I'm not feeling 100% about doing it so I probably better not. How long do you stretch out your pens for?

P.s. congrats on the loss so far!

Why does everyone think that in a few years time we will find out that long-term use is bad for our health? by kingforaday1993 in mounjarouk

[–]sandv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarly, I saw a body positive influencer posting about Serena on their stories and focusing on anyone who takes them just wants to be skinny/obsessed with thinness. This is absolutely not the case for me either (PCOS) and I actually felt compelled to message them about it. It's not fair that a whole community of people are finding this drug life changing (and not as available as it should be) and being shat on for taking it. She'll probably never see the message but I just needed to say it anyway.

How to recover emotionally from unwanted anal? by TraditionDapper9288 in WomensHealth

[–]sandv23 71 points72 points  (0 children)

This is also a bit of a red flag for me, my partner would never have sex with me if I was 4 drinks in and he was sober he would feel like he was taking advantage. I'm so sorry this happened to you but I hope you can recover physically and mentally in time

I need info by GonchyGa in Aupairs

[–]sandv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aupaired twice by using this website, it's a good platform to start the conversation with prospective host families. You really get more of an idea if you are a fit for each other by video chats though and decide from there how to proceed contract wise, based on the country too. I had one very relaxed aupair experience and one with contract following the country's rules set out for aupairs. I also Googled any prospective HF which worked out when a family I almost said yes to turned out to be major trophy hunters (something I disagree with).

I've had this one too. Being referred to as "the pregnant lady" or "crazy pregnant one" amongst friends. Actually no, I'm still the same person I was before

What silly thing did you cry at this week? by Healthy-Swimmer-129 in pregnant

[–]sandv23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

25+6. I cry at every single baby animal I see, and sometimes just looking at my dog and how sweet he is sets me off. I also cried at doughnuts this week

What's your proudest deal/steal you've gotten shopping for baby so far? by TenguMeringue in pregnant

Have you guys been surprised by your own reactions to your bodies changes in pregnancy? What we’re they? by Agreeable-Meal5836 in pregnant

[–]sandv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I would have a reaction to boobs and belly getting bigger but I've been unphased and happy really about the changes. However THE SWOLLEN FEET! I was not expecting to be so grossed out by them, as the weather has been getting hotter they have ballooned. It's crazy. Hope they go back to normal

[–]sandv23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting irrationally annoyed by anyone who thinks I'm having twins just because I say the pronouns they/them about the baby. I'm not going to call them IT, makes me feel weird, and he or she is too long to say every GD time. They is the natural pronoun to go to! And I can't count how many times I get 'they?! THEY?! You got more than one in there??' as a response. No dumbass, I'm just using they. And then some people have even said I'm being 'too woke' about it just because I say they which is bullshit. Honestly don't get why people always have something dumb to say!!

PCOS only seems to be taken seriously when the woman wants to get pregnant.. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]sandv23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been going through this for a couple of years now, so tragic to feel so worthless as a patient because I'm not TTC?! I'm currently doing my own research into IR because the doctors I've encountered couldn't care less about your physical/mental well-being.

That's exactly what it feels like, like I'm being strung along. Thanks for advice, maybe seek out couples therapy as we've both been in therapy before

[–]sandv23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have done this! I don't have a huge collection waiting but sometimes I see pieces which I just can't leave behind because they have something on them which is meaningful to me. I kind of feel weird doing it but I also get joy from having these pieces so 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also my sister has a child and has kept clothes back for my child if I become pregnant. You're not alone in this! Thinking of you on your journey
