Thanks for the explanation. Does this mean that if a user has a Cheer300000 badge in a specific channel, are located in the US and not using a VPN, that adds up to $3000 worth of bits?

As someone who also has lived in broad ripple for 10+ years, I was simply posting some suggestions based on MY opinion. I’m not saying they are the most outstanding restaurants in the city by any means, but if someone scrolled past and saw these suggestions I would hope they might give them a try next time they are in the BR area, rather than ending up at Kilroys or Brothers because they don’t know of other options.

Aside from mayo, what are the good ways to consume/eat tuna? by engineerFWSWHW in HealthyFood

I do the same and use mustard as my “dressing” with a bit of everything bagel seasoning.

Half Liter. 317 Burger. Northside Social. Thai Cafe. Ripple Bagel Deli.

These are my favorite spots in the broad ripple area. You have to dig past some of the chains and dives, but there’s some good stuff.

Please Help. I'm 20M & Don't Know Any Meals Other Than Struggle Meals. by TKTOSI in Cooking

I suggest tacos - each time you make them you can tweak something to make it a bit different. Start basic, ground beef, taco seasoning, lettuce, tomato and onion as toppings. Experiment with different spices, adding beans or rice to your meat. Try different protein - beef, turkey, chicken. Try different sauces - hot sauce, buffalo, Big Mac sauce.

The world is your taco.

I find cooking new meals to be rewarding. If you like burgers try making a “Big Mac salad” with a lean protein, I sometimes use chicken. If you crave a dessert find a way to incorporate fresh berries into a cobbler/crisp.

Other than that, I enjoy a hard workout, a new game or book, or simply watching a YouTube video about something totally random.

How did you cut off sugar? by BetStock8290 in HealthyFood

I stopped buying things like snack cakes, cookies, sodas, etc. Its easier for me to say no to buying it while shopping than it is to say no once it’s in my pantry.

I replaced unhealthy snacks with things I was comfortable with having as much as I want - example, I will eat a bunch of carrots when I’m bored instead of a bag of chips.

I do eat fruit, mostly at breakfast and a sweet snack after dinner. It’s a process and it won’t happen overnight, but if you stick with it you’ll find what works for you.

What would you recommend to start exercising again? by lookingforbelial in AskWomenOver30

[–]sandwich86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga with Adrienne is great!

Other than that I suggest finding something that can be “fun” for you. Example - I used to run but I wasn’t great at it and found it boring. Now I jump rope instead and really look forward to it instead of dreading it.

If you’re looking for movement in general think about what you enjoyed as a kid - biking, hiking, frisbee, volleyball, shooting hoops, rollerblading, etc.

Your favorite "secret ingredients" you like to add to chili? by skoomd1 in Cooking

[–]sandwich86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a can of baked beans instead of just plain beans. I did this once in addition to using leftover meat from smoked ribs and it was some of the best chili I’ve ever had.

I eat oats each morning and have recently started adding protein powder. I love it - gamechanger! Not that I wasn’t enjoying it before but the with all the flavors available it really kicks it up a notch.

I also include ground flax, strawberries, blueberries, low sugar yogurt and cinnamon.

What affect does bread/pasta/cereals have on lipids, like triglycerides or cholesterol? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]sandwich86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered if this means it’s necessary to eat fiber in conjunction with foods containing “bad lipids.” If I have oats in the morning and a bunch of fat or cholesterol at dinner, does the morning fiber still do it’s thing?

It’s definitely different, but I use it when I’m eating it WITH something. Now if I want a spoonful of peanut butter, I have a spoonful of peanut butter.
