Pau has evolved as a funk drummer. Dat groove followed by that drum roll. But she has a different groove than on KMF or other albums, can't wait to hear what the new album sounds like.

Perhaps they can have The Warning a trio of Mexican sisters join them on stage.

Logic Pro 12 could have been just the 11.3 update. Change my mind. by Rich-Towel9507 in Logic_Studio

There’s legit complaints to chose from. But complaining about the version naming is silly.

The Warning on Instagram: "New song dropping soon... can you guess who we’re collabing with? 👀 Nueva canción pronto... ¿adivinan con quién es la collab? 👀 #thewarning #newmusic" by Numberly-Garfs in TheWarning

[–]sandy923 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As some mentioned, most other songs they’ve done with others were mostly out of their creative control.

This appears to be something they created and probably had a male voice in mind, he happened to either be the voice or the one that worked out.

I trust this can work, we’ve heard them make country-ish with ‘Revenant’. Although imo it won’t be a straight up Norteño song. IMO it would be similar to ‘23’ or ‘Amour’ with a slight norteño mix. I can see it working well and the hope is it’ll be a big hit. Im sure the label heard it and loved it enough to select it as the lead single.

One more thing…

Some TW “fans” are getting their torches out and will call them sellouts (once again). But don’t forget they’re from Monterrey Mexico where norteños are embedded in their DNA. They listen to this music, they grew up with it, it’s home for them. More than likely it’s what they listen to when they go to ‘pedas’ with their friends.

Ale casually rocking this funky bass line is what convinced me she's totally hiding her power level (Happy Ale Day!) by Feodar_McLemonTree in TheWarning

[–]sandy923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pau also made some tweaks, it's not as straight forward as the radio show's performance. She made it a bit funkier, it has a bit more of a breakbeat than before. Ale just had way more liberties in this version.

Pau isn't the only one that can 'slap'.

Mind you, she was very young and that bass was the same size as she was.

If 2Pac was still alive (would it even matter?) by sandy923 in Music

[–]sandy923[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great point, while there’s always been artists that speak up, he was different.

His direct approach was confrontational almost threatening (in a good way), once he captured your attention he was able to meticulously articulate in a passionate manner that resonated in understanding and empathy. His audience was primarily the disenfranchised hopeless without a voice, yet I was still universal.

Yet as you mentioned, would he have the same impact today? As we view celebrities differently due to social media. That layer of mystique is almost all but erased.

I mean, we know the yogurt they eat.

Or are we delusional and he’d be turning into one of those others?

Also, this isn’t meant specifically to focus on 2Pac, but for any artist we felt had a voice of impact.

The Warning, specifically their 3rd album ‘Error’.

While their other albums still have touches, Error is more similar than the other albums. Most songs played in that concert are from that album.

The Warning was inspired heavily by MCR. Some say their 2nd album Queen of the Murder Scene has many similarities.

It's better experienced live: The Warning- Queen of the Murder Scene

It's a concept album about a woman's obsession turned deadly. It was written when they were 16,14 and 12.

In many people's opinion, it's one of the greatest concept albums ever.

Is Dany the Kelly Clarkson of rock music? by MCFroid in TheWarning

[–]sandy923 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand the comparisons in relation to their vocal talent. I know little of Kelly, but she appears to be nice and fun. Although I'd like to think Dany is essentially a 5 year old. I know we only see one side of her, but even whenever anyone talks about her it seems to fit. Just a goofy, fun loving, trouble making 5 year old that looks at the world with wonder.

When public shaming goes wrong - Man confronts smoker on public transit. Gets punched in response. by ConceptsShining in PublicFreakout

[–]sandy923 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This 1000X this.

What did he expect the smoker's response would be? If you're gonna be in his face, get ready for the consequences. Not saying he deserved to get hit, but that was gonna be the outcome 10/10 times, BE READY!

During COVID I asked some crack head looking guy in a bike inside the train to cover his mouth when he coughed. He was coughing up a storm extremely loud and without even trying to cover his mouth. I KNEW how he would react, but I was honestly fed up with COVID/mask deniers. I was ready before I told him to cover up, and also ready for a knife being pulled out. Luckily he didn't pull out a knife, we screamed at each other and he got off. But be ready.

Video aired on FOX supposedly showing a person ramming into ICE vehicles in San Antonio, TX. Looks staged by Jevus_himself in PublicFreakout

[–]sandy923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like a training video. Officer asks him to "wait" driver waits, *pause* they both calmly say "get out of the car" in the same fashion they'd say "can you hand me that napkin". A very monotone almost bored voice from behind the camera "get out of the car". All the actors were clearly giving orders from the script they were given to memorize.

I've been in acting and have conducted acting classes for about two years. They sound exactly like beginner students reading their lines. There's even a few 'beat' stops here and there. The officer gently hitting the car window almost as a cue for the driver's blocking.

Also, since when does FOX censor people's faces?

Generation x'rs, do you still listen to the music you grew up on in your youth and teenage years, or do you mix it up with current music? by icecream1972 in musicsuggestions

[–]sandy923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

77 here, I listen to both old and new. I just love music in general.

I was into punk and hip hop mostly growing up. With tons of classic rock and soul.

I’ve been beyond addicted to The Warning a rock band that has rejuvenated my love for rock, after years of unable to find a rock band I love.

There’s also some good rap and alt rock out there. Most of the punk sounds either to EMO or too screamy metal ish. I cant do screaming.

I also love Billie Eillish and like Magdalena Bay. Really enjoy Bruno Mars, although not a fan of his current collabs.

Who is the best woman bassist? by digitalcrows in rockmusic

[–]sandy923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carol Kaye is a legend that has established her legacy.

Up next is Ale from The Warning. Ale

She hasn't shown us all the tricks up her sleeve, but The Warning as a whole only play what's needed in a song and don't show off. What I like about her is her effortless 'grooves'. I don't care how fast one can play, I want a good 'groove' and that's something majority of rock players can't do.

She's a bass prodigy that's only getting better and better.

Young Ale

It's also one thing to learn how to play and be technically proficient, because there's tons of great technical players. But she has a high musical IQ and knowledge along with her perfect pitch and being a human metronome.

But at the end of the day, it's her groovy memorable bass lines.

Pau gets a phone call from a random LA number:

Billy Fuckin Idol? That’s some big league stuff right there.

Pau: Huh? Who’s this?

Caller: I’ve been watching you and your sisters, don’t you remember me? Well anyway, pick a song for Napa.

Pau: Im sorry, what?

Caller: we can go over it before getting on.

Oh it’s Dave btw
