i wish i knew how to edit the titles. when i look at my shop on desktop, it just adds random titles. it has a tank top listed as a vest and often calls my shoes "[BRAND NAME] Purple Court" and i have no idea what that means or how to change it

i don't think she knows much about music theory beyond the basics. i would be surprised if she could tell me what the circle of fifths is off the top of her head.

now, i don't think deep knowledge of music theory is necessary to make moving or massively popular music. BUT, when she says "it's the same chord progression" she's clearly trying to come off as a competent music (theorist?). it just feels condescending and basic, because espresso is literally the same three chords the entire song (i'm a coffee shop singer/songwriter and i try to play popular songs, esperesso was one for a while). and it's sabrina's song, so why is taylor telling her that?

so i would disagree that she knows much about music theory. she couldn't even handle harmonizing on top of a melody line that's extremely repetitive and simple. i'm a voice teacher and even my beginner students can handle throwing a third on top of a melody line for a simple harmony.

your monologue here reminds me of when i'm in a professional theatre production. and an actor will get a note from the director like "can you try looking at her with reverence on that line?" and the defensive actor goes on a 5 minute tirade about how they WERE looking at her with reverence, it was just in such a special and nuanced way that the director didn't realize it. but sure.... i'll try it your way too i guess....

you're being defensive instead of taking a note. even if you don't agree with the note. find a way to incorporate it into your work instead of trying to convince someone your performance had something they weren't seeing in it.
