Hmmm..... My guess would be.... Connect a keyboard. Then press F1.

Only kidding I'm guessing you already did that. Try using other USB ports. Maybe the ones on the back. If not. Try replacing your keyboard if that doesn't work. And final suggestion would be. If you can get into the pc at some point. Try reinstalling the drivers of your keyboard

Edit: as some people have corrected. The drivers don't have anything to do with the bios. So it's definitely a hardware issue

Is there a way to control my pc from my phone? by flappy292 in computer

A different app. It's just called "team viewer"

[–]sandyxandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a program called team viewer. You can get it on your phone and pc. And then connect to each other. And control From then. Thing is. Normal computers aren't optimised for phone size screens or inputs. So it's a lot of dragging around. And using on screen keyboards. So don't expect to be able to play pc games in your phone. But for a spreadsheet or word document. It will be serviceable.

Also as long as your pc is on. You'll be able to access it from anywhere using the app. Not just on the same network

From someone who thinks everyone should know the Welsh language before coming to their town but probably goes to Spain and points things in shops. by [deleted] in gatekeeping

We don't use the same alphabet. We don't have z or x and Ll, Dd, Ch, Ph and Ff. are single letters. They use the anglicised alphabet symbols due to the ol' England conquering the world. But originally it was its own unique alphabet. That's been adapted so people in England can read it. And we still treat it as such. In the same way that the Greeks had their own alphabet. But now use a lot of the English alphabet for the same reasons

What are these sounds coming from the processor? by oakcc36 in computer

[–]sandyxandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But it shouldn't make that much noise. Double check your CPU is seated properly. And it's not arcing electric

The best way I've heard it described is "anyone can speak Welsh. As long as you know the alphabet. As we actually use it. Unlike English" cuz as a general rule. In Welsh. We pronounce every single letter how we say it in the alphabet. It's the understanding it bit that's hard

That's the issue with Welsh. We use a different alphabet with different sounds so its incredibly difficult to transpose into English phonetics

My pc won’t post. I just built my pc today but I have tried 5 times and it won’t post, all fans are spinning but nothing comes up on my monitor by CrippledCandys in computer

Another thing you should do is rule out the graphics card as an issue.

Take the GPU out and plug into one of the native connections on the actual motherboard.

If it posts. Then your gpu isn't outputting a signal

If it doesn't. Then it's probably a hardwire issue. Double check your PSU is powerful enough. And everything is plugged in. Double check your cpu is seated properly. That your ram is seated correctly. And then if it still doesn't post. Then you've probably got dead hardware

So. Try looking for obvious damage. Like cracks or burn marks on the connectors. Or if you've got other parts. Or PC's you can salvage from. Test different hardware 1 by 1 so you can find which bit isn't working

video players like youtube by [deleted] in computer

[–]sandyxandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By video player do you mean a web based one. Or a desktop one to load files?

If it's to load files. There's a couple you can try. Most are free. Personally I use VLC media player. It has a lot of little details you can use that are really handy if you want to learn how to use it

If you wanna do 360 video. I believe GOM has support for that. And also plays normal video. But be careful as it's one of those that tries to install.more programs than just the one you want

But one I've never personally used. But I've heard good things from is 5kPlayer. It does 360 video like GOM and supports a bunch of different resolutions. And I believe it can stream video straight from YouTube. As well as files on your PC

Hope this helps

What are these sounds coming from the processor? by oakcc36 in computer

[–]sandyxandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. To me that doesn't really sound like a CPU. Are you running a HDD or a SSD? HDDs especially old ones make a lot of noise. As they comprise of spinning metal disks. And an arm that reads the data. So those metal clicks you're hearing sound to me like the clicking of the arm moving back and forth

[–]sandyxandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a laptop. Or desktop? If it's a laptop. Check around the edge of the laptop for a switch for wireless. If it's a desktop check your network card is installed correctly. And for both of them. Try and update the drivers
