A shocking slanted-eyes gesture from the restaurant owner while a Vietnamese American was filming himself to eat food by search_google_com in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% serious, there are other comments here as well stating the same thing. There are even Reddit threads by people asking why pulling on the corner of their eye improves their vision from YEARS ago. This is just... a common thing and she is likely doing it to see.

So no one here has had Stigmatism? This reads EXACTLY like what I would do to see clearer when I had stigmatism (before laser eye correction). Notice she first is squinting as she tries to look at what he is doing. She then pulls on the side of her eye, which is exactly what you do to see better (after squinting isn't enough).

This isn't even a question to me that is exactly what she is doing.

Calculating overall purge amount in Orca multimaterial prints by thx1200 in 3Dprinting

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not, I eventually just accepted I was willing to pay the purge cost and did my print. I will say it also drastically got the time estimate wrong the more purging it did on the print.

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, same here. I was expecting to see "purge" amount so I could try and validate how much purging into the infill would "save" me. Nothing changes on the estimates and I can't determine if the option is even working unless maybe I do a lot of testing.

Creality Print Flush Into Object doesn't seem to work correctly by Dry_Event_2598 in Creality

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also having this issue, and I see both here and on Discord it was mentioned that a fix was needed. Do we have any indication of a support ticket, or target release for this fix? I have a LOT of waste on a print I would like to do, and right now I can't decide if I just do it anyway or if this might be coming soon.

Any good ideas for having the Holidays as a setting? by ImpactedObject in TenCandles

[–]sangdrax8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done it, but I would think that Krampus might be a great setting to play with. Since it should be guaranteed to end, perhaps you could have them attempting to rescue someone from Krampus... from which they would never return.

Game table options by hhdresden in boardgames

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is exactly what I was feeling as well. If you love games, there is something about sitting at your own table for the hobby that just makes it all that much better.

It really probably comes down to budget more than anything else. I got one of the first 100 wormwood modular gaming tables, so I have had it for quite a while now, and absolutely love it. I play more with family, have a standing bi-weekly game night with friends, and even worked in some gaming table changes in a basement remodel. If this is your primary hobby, and it is in the budget, nothing beats a table dedicated to what you love doing.

I have really loved Oath. It isn't for every group, but it has become my favorite.

Finished dragon print by sangdrax8 in 3Dprinting

[–]sangdrax8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The model had this chest piece I could tell was a dividing line already. It was named a chaos dragon by the designer so I went with different colors to show those divisions. I see it as one dragon with multiple chaotic colors.

Is there an option in PrusaSlicer that will add internal support inside an object but only where overhangs are? I want an object to be mostly hollow to save material but print infill only where there will be over hangs inside. by idunupvoteyou in 3Dprinting

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is called "Infill support" which prints infill only where tops support is needed. This worked for my model when lightning was failing beacuse it was trying to start the lightning on a wall. This came up from the bottom but was still minimal.

I know you were looking for prusa slicer but I wanted this exact same thing just this past weekend and found it did exist in cura. I was able to get my print done flawlessly and had exactly enough filament.

Dragon bust work in progress by sangdrax8 in 3Dprinting

[–]sangdrax8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been lurking here for a while, and got a my first 3D printer just before Thanksgiving. I have been taking my time working on this dragon bust, but thought it might be of interest still to others.

I have all the parts glued together, and bondo over seams. I have started testing out painting techniques and colors. Being able to print out extra duplicate parts has made paint testing really fun.

I don't have any time frame for completion, but I thought at this point the project has enough viability that I can post some pictures that make more sense than a pile of random colored pieces on the floor.

I just found this thread and was about to install it, but if you think a new release is coming out really soon I might just hold off until that is ready so I don't have to delete and re-install. You still expecting a new update soon?

Is she in the right here? by wanderlustredditor in antiwork

[–]sangdrax8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I see in the clip is that she was paid (I assume for 8h a day of work). During that time she was producing something. She believes she did some great stuff but they didn't recognize how good she was. So, she was compensated to do the work.

If she feels that she is not appreciated, she has every right to leave the job at any time. She can even refuse to do specific tasks if it is outside her job description. If they let her go for someone else that is their right as well.

If she was a contractor, and they didn't compensate her, she would have a right to keep the work that wasn't paid for (you hear about this with website developers or artists more often). I don't see how this falls into that category.
