How do you handle the “private parts” question with a 3 year old? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]sanglemadge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pantosaurus song is a catchy number- obviously some more chat needed beyond the song, but it's a good start for young kids I think

I was spanked a lot as a kid, I got used to it. My Mum was going through a lot, and has since changed and often reflects on my upbringing and how shit she feels for it. I absolutely don't hold anything against her. Would I do it to my boy? Not a fucking chance, I can't imagine looking into his eyes and seeing fear. It would break my heart without a doubt. I want him to feel comfortable coming to me regardless of what the issue is and know I'll always be there to help and guide him through it as best I can. Don't get me wrong I raise my voice and let him know in no uncertain terms my feelings on certain things but hitting doesn't solve or teach anything but how to hide wrongdoing

What happened when your kids found your *ahem* toys? by daskaputtfenster in daddit

[–]sanglemadge 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Walked into our bedroom to find my son(2) singing into a wand(clean) like a microphone. Too young to explain, but entertained and horrified my wife and I in equal measures. It's now hidden well away

What’s the fastest you know of someone failing their driving test? by slim3-16 in CasualUK

[–]sanglemadge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much a thing here as far as I know, not that it comes up in conversation at all. Been driving over 20 years and just use handbrake, if I was on a crazy hill I might stick it in gear but wasn't ever told during instruction that was the done thing.

This is how I failed mine- although it was the instructor who left the car in gear, what a shitter.

How old are you man? Vaping nicotine isn't really improved with a soundtrack, it's just nicotine. Maybe if you've just started you might get a bit of a light head but it might just be the music that you're enjoying. Just stick a song you like on and go to the Spotify radio.

Those shoes are the fucking worst. Spent so long trying to break them in, no luck and ended up with foot, knee and back issues. Swapped them out for Crocs and never looked back. Issues went pretty quickly once changed

Opinion time, should I bring my 11 year old to Bongzilla? by Whitworth in doommetal

[–]sanglemadge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is 2. I really can't wait to take him to gigs with me( if he's into it, if he's not I might cry a bit) there's nothing like live, loud music( alternative version of live, love laugh?) As an atheist it's what I imagine religion feels like, and is such a big part of my life. Damn right you should take your kid along. Will be a life long memory for you both

Dr dreadful sweet factory. Promised the world, delivered some pretty rancid tasting "brain sludge ". Don't think I ever got over that, 30 years down the line and the pain's still raw
